The Outcome”-

Cecily ducked as one of her uncle’s flashes came close. This was pointless, only with Cecile could she completely defeat her uncle. Frowning she slowly lifted her head, her uncle had stopped.

“Cecily?” her uncle’s voice rang out.

“What?”

“Show yourself or…”

“Or what?”

He didn’t answer, and slowly she stood.

Below, her uncle stood with Luc beside him.

Luc held the unconscious Cecile.

Why had she left her sister?

She jumped and landed a few feet from where her uncle stood.

“Let her go.”

Luc moved slightly allowing Cecily to catch a glimpse of Cecile’s face. Her eyes were open and she offered Cecily a small smile. Cecily managed to keep her face composed, veiling her feelings.

Thinking he had won, Marlon smiled maliciously. He walked to where Cecily stood and gestured out towards the castle, “Take a look. Soon all this will be mine.”

Cecily heard a slight humming sound behind them, but she didn’t turn.

A moment later Cecily and Marlon whirled at the sound of Cecile’s voice, “It will never be yours!”

Marlon’s eyes widened with fear, “Where’s Luc?”

“Luc has gone running to the hills, leaving you all alone, with just us.”

Cecily smiled and strode to where Cecile stood, stopping next to her.

“Cecily, what are you doing?”

“I’m taking the place where I truly belong….the place I should’ve been my entire life…..the reason I wasn’t….you!”

She slowly lifted her arms and, after a moment’s hesitation, Cecile did the same.

Turquoise and purple swirled together, then both girls swung their arms forward towards Marlon.

He stumbled backwards, but not before the light caught him.

It surrounded all three until it was so bright none could see.

Then it vanished, Cecile and Cecily exchanged amazed glances before looking to where Marlon had stood. He was frozen in a glowing case.

“What happened?”

“You have imprisoned him in Extrolla, a prison,” their mother’s voice cut through the darkness.

“Extrolla?” Cecile questioned.

“It’s a prison for the most powerful beings, once inside you can only be released by the people who imprisoned you,” Cecily stated from where she stood, examining the prison.

Marisel nodded, her eyes on her long-lost daughter, “Cecily?”

Cecily turned and stared at her mother.
For so many years she had disliked her mother. She had lost so much time because of Marlon, so many years she had lost being angry at the family who had loved her all along.

……………………………………………………………………

The castle glowed and the music could be heard for miles. Inside hundreds of costumed figures moved in time with the music. Sitting on the identical thrones, were Cecily and Cecile.

Cecile was still dressed in her silver dress, but she had re-done her hair and cleaned up.

Cecily was clothed in a dress of deep, purple silk, the skirt overlaid with black lace and a silver tiara adorned her hair.

Marisel smiled as she watched her daughters.

Together they would rule Caston, and they would be two of the best queens the kingdom had ever seen.
