The garden of glory
In a word, Paradise
Left to rot
Like and unweeded garden
Grows to seed
Things rank and gross
Unrighteous tears watering the earth
Killing off all good
The beast's appetite grows
Murder has been committed
And Eden's glory
Grows flat
Author's Note: Please forgive the horribleness of this poem. I had to write it in about 2 minutes in English class. We are studying Hamlet and my teacher is having us do a thing called recreation where she reads a passage and we listen, then she reads it again and has us write down words or phrases we like. Then she has us write a paragraph or poem or whatever from our minds using whatever we wish to from the bits we wrote down. This poem is most definitely going to be rewritten and added to because there was so much I wanted to write or say. However, when you only have 2 minutes you do what you can. I hope you like it. please review and let me know what you think and I will return the favor. I'll leave it up and post the new poem as a second chapter. Also, if you have read Hamlet, see if you can pick out the lines that I was inspired by.
