Will you let one day, one experience

Color the rest of your life

My friend, my love

-

You stood on your own two feet

And fell as you began to walk

Now you crawl, afraid to try again

-

You cannot stand, cannot dance

You fear to try because once

It hurt, once you fell

-

You lose so much

Because you fear to try

My friend, my love

-

There was a time when you would sing

Proudly among the rest of us

But you sing no more

-

You’ll not even attempt to note

That one mistake is no cause for shame

That everyone makes mistakes

-

Instead of learning and moving forward

You are stuck in the past and future

My friend, my love

-

You’ll not live in the present

Assuming that it is too good for you or you for it

Accept the day as it is

-

My friend who will not walk, and does not sing

My love who can never dance

Will you let one experience color you

-

Shall you paint in shades of gray

Or would you take up a new palate of colors, of life

And me next to you

Yeah, this is kinda random... oh well, Please review. :)
