Hey, This is the First Chapter of Project Supernatural. I'm Dalik Taltoka and the first chapter was written by me. The next author who ever they are will be the one to host chapter two and they should make a small introduction similar to the one I'm making right now. It seems like Tasha would be next because she's the most active writer on here. So Enjoy our project, The title might change sometime soon though.
Cya Around, Dalik
Chapter One
Steve stepped into the dark room. He was 15, tall, and like many his age – rich with sarcasm. His hair was just long enough for it to hang into his eyes, and it was a mess. He had a slight tan and he wore a dark grey t-shirt. He wore a pair of dark blue jeans with a tear at the knee. Around his waist was a belt, a pistol and a knife. His steel grey eyes shined in the dim light of the room.
He looked around at the grim faces, they were the faces of those who were free and yet not free at the same time. Their minds were free but they had to blend in with the rest of the world or else they would have been dead. They looked at him with a small sign of hope. Steve stepped into the center of the room.
"Okay, so where’s the entrance to the tunnel," He asked the man closest to him.
"Over there, behind the table. Just tap on the wall and Ethan will open the door for you," the man replied.
Steve walked past the crowd of people. He kicked the table out of the way. The sound it made caused the people to look around catiously. The Dark Knights could be outside.
The Dark Knights being the forces of the one who controls the world. He used them to find those who were resistant and rebellious- and crush them.
Steve was wanted all over the world for his acts against the ruler.
He knocked on the wall. A small trap door slid open and a young boy looked up at him.
"This goes to the grand city, right?" asked Steve.
"Yeah, well not all the way. It ends about 10 days away. We can't get any closer underground without being noticed," Ethan responded.
"Well, that might be enough to get me near the city. If you don't here from me within a month collapse the tunnels," Steve said.
"Well, actually I was planning on going with you. Chris will watch the tunnel," Said Ethan, motioning at the man who told Steve about the tunnel.
"Okay then, let's get going. I want to be out of the town before the Dark Knights realise I'm not in the jail cell," Steve said running into the tunnel.
Ethan pulled the door closed behind him and Chris put the table back where it was. To the town it was as if this never happened, but to the rest of the world, this could very well be one of the few moments that began the revolution.
Ethan and Steve walked along the dimly lit tunnel. It was small so they had to duck down in several areas. Steve especially because he was tall. At first the tunnel was pretty level, but soon it began to slope downward at a rapid rate. It was at first a slow downward incline, then steps and now there were short drops every few feet.
"Who the hell dug this tunnel, did they have any idea what they were doing?" said Steve after one of the larger drops.
"I have no clue, I sorta stumbled on it a few years back," Ethan said.
"So, how long does this tunnel go on for?" asked Steve.
"About four days of walking," Ethan replied.
"So we're supposed to just sleep in this small tunnel," Steve said sarcastically.
"No, there are small buildings built inside every 5 miles or so. We should be coming up on the first rest stop soon."
"Cool..."
The two continued down the tunnel for about 15 minutes. Then the wall got farther apart and the ceiling went a lot higher. There was a huge building there. It was about 4 stories high and had a pond in front of it.
"Small… Right..." Steve said sarcastically.
The two revolutionist entered the rest area. It was dark. Steve pulled the light switch and the first floor lit up. It was one huge room. There were three strange things on the other side of the room. They moved when the light turned on. The devices which the two had never seen before leapt forward with swords in their hands. Steve was the first to react. He dove forward dodging the sword.
The battle began with Steve kicking at the robot thing. It hit the wall and fell. It turned at charged at Ethan. Ethan jumped over it and pulled out a pistol.
"Don't move," He said.
The bullet burst out of the gun and pushed itself into the head of the fist robot. The second one turned on and pulled out a knife. It ran at Ethan. The knife cut through his arm, blood dripped down and stained his shirt. Steve leapt over towards the robot and punched it's head knocking it back. He pulled out his pistol and shot it.
The last one turned on. This one had a shotgun. It took aim at Steve. He dove behind the wall and leaned out to take aim at it. The robot shot at the wall causing rubble to scatter. Steve took aim and shot at it. It hit it's arm, and the gun fell.
"Ethan, finish it off!" Steve yelled.
Ethan reloaded his pistol and shot at its head. It dropped.
"Why the hell did it attack us!" demanded Steve.
"It's the defence mechanism. These tunnels are meant to keep the Dark Knights out, but if they get here these robots are meant to take them out," Ethan replied.
"Oh," Steve said.
"So, you think we should go to the next floor. Maybe find some food?" Ethan asked.
"You wanna risk another fight like that. Just look what happened to your arm," Steve said.
"Damn, I didn't even notice that."
"You should pay attention, besides there's a machine over there with some food in it," Steve pointed it out.
The two rested for a while and then decided to set out to the next rest point. It would be at least 5 days until they got to see the sunlight again.
