I walk—

Glass knees

Grating, shivering

Under my weight.

Each step

Taken gingerly,

Each step

Painful agony

Blood is showing

Through my pant legs,

Glass shards

Rip at fragile threads

Mind in shards,

Hilarious irony.

Glass knees

Break.

No matter what precautions

Are taken.

Glass knees break—

Shit happens.
