She calls my name

As I close my eyes

No on to save me

The darkness falls abruptly

--

She is everywhere

As I try to escape

No where to hide

The light slowly dissipates

She speaks, her voice is rich

As I recollect my past

Neither pain nor sorrow

My destination waits

--

She takes my hand

As I take her

No reason for haste

Yet darkness still surrounds

--

She shows me the path

As I ponder why

No one need fear her

The now soothing black covers my skin

--

She whom I once dreaded

Who did nothing terrible?

Is now my guide through this voyage?

Now my companion that I will never rid of
