In the dark abyss I try to find
The small little figment of darkness in my mind
The midnight that gave meaning to my life
That gave color to my eyes

In my soul, I feel the light
That flickers with it's small flame, that glows less bright
I'm trying to find every reason that's right, that knows
This is my meaning in life

And in that abyss I find
More darkness than light
And in a way, unpenitrable
I breathe a slight sigh
unheavy, unbroken
In the still moonlight

Midnight; the dream and nightmare I've become
Now I've become one;
with the still darkness and with the gentle sun

In the reasons, I list the times
In every breath and moment I've attempted the rhymes
Knowing that one day the light will surely die
But not with me inside
