" Her Hero "

( Lay the roses down lay the roses down )

Don't try to be a hero

The day's already saved

She no longer needs you

Lay your confession on her grave

She came here

Just to see you

Even though

You don't care at all

As she

Spills her heart out

Makes the grass red

She wishes she were dead

She wishes she were--

Drunk again

The garage door

Open in the night

As she

Cries her eyes out

Makes your shoulder wet...

There are no feelings yet

There are no feelings--

Don't try to be a hero

Her soul's already dead

She no longer knows you

The sky is turning red

The light will soon wash over

Her body on the floor

She begged on Death's doorstep

He evened out the score

Cold machines

Hooked to her wrists

They keep her

Living through the hours

As she

Fails to wake up

"She won't survive the night"

She won't survive the--

Way you watch her

Crying softly

As her

Heart rate fades down

Falling like the snow

There is no place to go

There is no place to--

DON'T THINK THAT YOU'RE HER HERO

She died under your gaze

And now you're standing, crying

Putting flowers on her grave

So lay the roses down

And kiss the sun goodbye

You'll never know the answers

So don't keep asking 'why'

You always were her hero... all she wanted was your heart...

You never loved her anyway... now's not the time to start...

YOU ALWAYS WERE HER HERO

Write these lyrics on her grave

And lay her down to sleep, she's no longer yours to save

Cause who can save a hero?

A/N:

Well, it wasn't MEANT to be a song originally... it's so emo... all the good rock writers I know will laugh at me. Like, hard. REALLY hard. "Nevermore" is the closest I've ever gotten to a respectable rock song, and only because that one requires much screaming. That, and it's about Columbine HS. Anyway. Enough about my absolute failure as a lyricist, I want you to feel free to hit that review button and tell me JUST how bad this is, adding profanity to taste if you so desire.
