...Never Breathe Again...

I feel the darkness creeping in

It's calling out my name

Reaching out to claim the souls

Of those who live in shame

In the shadows this one lurks

Never truly free

But those blinded by ignorance

Are unable to see

The pain filled eyes of those alone

Pierce the darkened night

Those drowning in the silence now

Live their lives in fright

The ice cold tendrils of their fear

Surround this horrid place

Bringing to a stark new light

All we cannot face

I try to scream and try to cry

But no one seems to hear

And smothered by my pain and hatred

I'm alone, I fear

What is this place in which we live

As slaves of misery

When all we want is happiness

A wish that cannot be

This is a place of our nightmares

And wounds that will not mend

A place where monsters claim our lives

To bring about our end

So long we have been here alone

Drowning in our pain

Never letting others know

And never to breathe again
