Superhero
9/17/06

you're a caricatured soul
with your glossy-paper skin
unruly stylized hair
and perfectly stenciled jaw

you were born
from tied-together basic shapes
and erased undone lines

so ssshhh!

look away
or you could melt me
with your fierce thermal eyes
and laser-beam looks

or you might crush me
with your herculean strength
and steel-like built

moreover,

don't entice me
with your flowing fancy cape
your form-fitting suit
or your over the top headdress

because at the END
of this make-believe
comic strip (script)

you still can't
save me
