I’m not sure how to handle this,

I feel how he says it in earnest.

This boy is so caring,

So willing to promise me the world.

He tells me that he loves me.

I remember a boy that shared this passion,

This need to show how he cares.

I know you know him,

Better that anyone else in the world.

So how do I tell him?

How do I tell him that you broke me for good?

I can’t say, “I love you”,

I don’t believe his promises,

I expect…

I expect him to chase after the first pretty girl that comes his way.

Just like you.

He swears he’s different.

Swears his love is true.

But wasn’t yours true too?
