sometimes i'm spinning around

falling down when the clock stops

i climb up to the top

all eyes are on me

as i stand on the ledge

looking down

hiding all my fear

i keep it locked up inside

and somehow

you found the key

you are the key

you open my heart

as if it were meant to be

as if you could save me

i swallow hard

removing all emotion from my face

and suddenly

you are next to me

like an angel

you have no halo

but i see heaven

when i look into your eyes

you hold my hand

it's surreal

this way you make me feel

like i'll be able to

wake up in the morning

we come back down

even though you keep my so high

just by standing there

and softly

my feet touch the ground

i am safe

you tell me that you love me

don't ever do that again

and i stare at you

dazed and also confused

but even though

i know landing safely on the ground

is not what i would have chosen

you know better

you are better

and you continously put me

back on solid ground

someday i'll find a way

to thank you
