He didn’t know why everyone he loved suddenly shunned him. Well, correction, he did know. He had come out (of the closet) with a secret too big. He knew this secret would change his life. And he had been keeping it for way to long and if he hadn’t told when he did, he didn’t know how he was going to live. So he told, and now he was a homeless gay teenage boy with nowhere to go.
He stormed around screaming at the top of his lungs at the person he had invited into his heart when very young. He thought that God would always be there for him but right now, he didn’t know where his Savior was.
He yelled with such pain at the blank wall that was mocking him. He knew that he had gotten himself in the predicament and if he could of just held in his secret till he left for college a year later that he would be okay. He could just go far, far away and only visit him parents once a year. They would never find out about their son’s dirty little secret. They couldn’t, or at least that’s what he wanted to happen.
But now, since the pain he was holding had come overbearing he had told. He had told him best friend whom he thought would be understanding but instead told everybody. Everybody told the Principal. Principal called his parents. Parents publicly told him to never ever come home again. And in the corner of the crowd, his lover smirked and walked away. Leaving his boyfriend without a home and a broken heart.
He knew if he crawled back those who hated him and got a girlfriend then everything would be okay. But for the first time, he knew that he couldn’t take the easy way out. He would have to find another way. The right way. He just didn’t know where to look.
