Chapter 1

“NO!” screamed Calista.

“But I haven’t say a word yet!” exclaimed Jesse.

“You don’t have to. I know you’ll be asking me out! And here’s the answer, NO!”

-Sigh- Not again! It’s been three years and he’s still after her! I can’t believe it. Why must he be so infatuated with her? I mean, okay she’s beautiful. Long, silky raven locks that hung all the way to her mid-back and those sparkling blue eyes that can pierce into your soul. But why must Jesse chase after her? I am so— “Hi Vere,” greeted Jesse, bringing me out of my thoughts.

“Hi,” was the monotonous reply.

“Hey, it’s that all that I get, nothing but a ‘hi’? Don’t you love me anymore?” Jesse joked.

Of course I love you, you dumb idiot! I always have! But you are too busy chasing HER to notice my feelings for you. Everyone had already caught on but you are still as oblivious as ever. I don’t understand how I fell for you sometimes! But then again, your lovely, spiked blond hair and emerald green eyes are just so beautiful. The muscled, golden tan body is just to die for. And not to forget your cute face when you pout… -Drool- “Vere… Vere…” once again, Jesse pulled me from my thoughts.

“Sorry, I spaced out. So what was it that you say again?”

“Well, I asked if you want hang out today, the guys are going to see a movie. So, you coming?”

“Jesse, there’s lots of school work to do. How can you think of going to the movies? The ‘O’s are just round the corner!”

“Chill. All work and no play is unhealthy. Come on just this once…”

Oh great! He’s using that cute and adorable puppy eyes. I’m really a sucker for those eyes. But hey, at least I’ll be out with him… like a group date… Ha! Like that is ever going to happen.

“Sure.”

“Great! We are meeting at 8.00 tonight,” just then, the bell rang.

“Well, I go to go. See you tonight ya!” and with that he walked away.
