Chapter 2

YES! This is definitely the best night in my life so far! I can’t believe I got so close to Vere! I was so damned lucky to agree to come. Maybe next time we can get together and watch more shows. After all, I can— “Kane, the rest of us are going for pizza. You wanna come?” Vere asked.

With a cheeky grin, I replied “Sure, as long as you’re on the menu.”

“Since when are you into boys?” inquired Jesse, with a confused look.

“I’M NOT A GUY!” screamed Vere at the top of her voice, “Just because I hang out with guys much more than girls doesn’t mean that I’m a guy.”

“Ya right, just keep deluding yourself,” teased Favien, Vere’s elder twin.

“OH, you’re so dead.”

“-sticks out tongue- You’ve gotta catch me first.”

“-Sigh- Girls, girls, please, let’s just go for pizza,” pleaded an annoyed Kane.

“I’M NOT A GIRL!” screamed out Jesse and Favien, both held the same expression that Vere had moments ago.

Not long later, the group left to get supper at a pizza joint. After what seems to be hours, they finally found a four-seater. Great! Now I can sit next to Vere. This has got to be the best night ever! “Hey babe, what ‘cha gonna have?” inquired Kane as he slyly draped his arm around Vere.

“Kane, get off me.”

“Ya, stop flirting and let’s order. I’m hungry!”

“You’re always hungry Jesse. Besides, it’s none of your business if I wanna flirt with Vere.”

“Alright! Pizza’s here!” cried a jolly Jesse.

“Here Vere, let me help you get that,” offered Kane.

“Auhh… That’s so sweet. Cut the romance Kane, I want to eat,’ informed Favien with a mock disgust look.

“I think it’s sweet. -Kisses- Thanks Kane,” cried Vere.

-NOTE: Brain overload- I can’t believe Vere kissed me. She kissed me! I can’t believe it! Pinch me, I must be dreaming. I am so gonna remember this moment for the rest of my life. I can’t wai— “Hello, Earth to Kane. Yo Romeo, get your head down from the clouds!” Favien said whilst trying to get back Kane’s attention.

--- An hour later ---

“-Burp- That was great!” exclaimed a bloated Jesse.

“Well no duh! You practically ate half the pizza!” came Favien’s commentary.

“Erm Vere, do you need a lift home?” asked Kane.

“No but thanks for offering. Favien’s going home so I’m going with him.”

“Oh right. Forgot about that.”

Great going! You’ve made a fool of yourself! It’s obvious she’ll leave with Favien. Their twins! “Well, gotta be going now. Bye. See you guys and girl in school tomorrow.”
