Chapter 11

Miho could run normally, but she showed signs of a limp after moving far enough. Emilio got into his S-8 with two other mobsters while the other vehicle went the other way. Aaron had begun to move east while Miho moved west. The wounded mobster on the ground tried to get up with the immense pain pulling him back. He screamed for somebody to help him, but the rest of the pedestrians were alarmed by the gunshots. Miho pushed a couple of pedestrians out of her way before seeing a man on a Kawasaki pulling towards the intersection. Behind her, the second S-8 was speeding towards her. She held up the MAC-10 to the man on the Kawasaki as soon as she got close.

She screamed, “OFF THE BIKE!” only to get no reaction. Next, she fired a few shots into the air and pointed back at the man. He didn’t want to die, so he stepped off for his life. Miho got on the Kawasaki just as the mobsters rolled in with the S-8. She lifted the MAC-10 to sweep through the S-8 with some gunfire. The driver swerved to the right and into a telephone pole. He quickly ducked down with his men to avoid all of the shots. The S-8 had been fitted with bulletproof doors, so none of the shots were able to get though the doors. Miho cranked on the gas before driving off to the north in order to intercept Aaron later. Eric was trying to keep the car on the road as they moved through the traffic.

“Go faster!” Aaron yelled as he pulled a gun out from under the seat.

“It’s almost rush hour, so we need to find some place to go right now. A Thursday afternoon isn’t the time to be moving down the road.” Eric said trying to keep steady.

“Keep on the road. Try to keep away from closed areas, because we might run out of room real…”

The sound of bullets ripping through the window and past Aaron’s ear interrupted him. Eric didn’t even flip his head back because he knew exactly who it was. Aaron stuck his upper torso out of the broken window with the CZ-87 in his left hand. He fired a few quick shots that left a huge crack in the windshield. Emilio swerved the car to the left quickly to get around a small guy on his bike. He picked up his cell phone to call for the nearest back up in the area. Eric had to find a way off of the road and towards a clean street. Ahead of them was a read light, so they were shit out of luck about getting a high-speed escape.

Eric could only have one chance to avoid a massive wreck. The intersection up ahead was blocked by oncoming traffic through one of the turn offs. To avoid the cars, Eric pulled to the right in between a street pole and a wall. He squeezed through and did a 90-degree turn to the left. To his left were a few cars facing him while traffic sped parallel to his right.

“We’re closed off!” Eric yelled to Aaron after looking around.

Emilio backed up the car to pull around the corner nearby. It would then lead him to Aaron and Eric.

Aaron held his gun close while looking around the busy streets for Emilio in his S-8. A cop was walking towards them with his hands up in front of the car.

“Step out of the vehicle!” the cop yelled.

“This isn’t our fault! I’m not stepping out because there’s somebody after us.” Eric said before looking around for any S-8’s.

“Then I can handle them when they get here.”

“Oh, that’s a good one.”

Aaron looked back to see Emilio’s S-8 pull out from the side of a building down the street behind them. “Here he comes!” Aaron warned Eric with a yell. Eric stared back at the S-8 behind him and put the car in reverse. He was trying to avoid Emilio and the cop, but going backwards would end up ramming him into Emilio.

“This is your fucking cue Aaron, do something!” Eric yelled.

Aaron leaned out the window and saw a break in the oncoming traffic. The only thing in his was a car that was closely being followed up by a wave of traffic. He held his breath before aiming at the front tires on the car. After firing a few shots, the front bumper let out a bunch of sparks before the tire on the right side below the bumper exploded. The car did a reflex turn to the right before getting hit by the oncoming cars. One by one cars hit the breaks and ended up slamming into each other. It was unsure if anybody had died, but it didn’t matter. Eric did a quick turn in front of the piled up cars to avoid getting hit by Emilio. Next, he drove in reverse down an empty alley just before Emilio drove after him. The alley was so tight that if Aaron leaned out the window, he would end up scraping against the wall.

“Were going to hit a dumpster! Get out of the alley!!!” Aaron yelled after seeing a dumpster behind the car.

Eric slammed on the gas and eventually began to drag the dumpster with him. Aaron looked around for a better gun underneath the floorboard.

“There’s a .44 Cougar Magnum under the seat. It’s a hand cannon and it might be able to blast through their car! I’d use it!” Eric exclaimed before a few bullet hit the windshield.

“We’re lucky they’ve got real lousy shots…” Aaron said while reaching under the seat.

Aaron began to think of the good old days when his dad used to take him to NRA meetings and shooting ranges for leisure time.

A really good relation ship existed between the two. Aaron laughed because he began to think of his child hood while he was seconds away from death. His hand touched a wooden handle beneath the seat, so it was it. Emilio was just a couple feet away from slamming into Eric’s convertible when Aaron lifted up the Cougar magnum from out beneath the seat. It was a revolver and one of the very few most powerful handguns in the world. Emilio saw the gun aimed directly at his face, so he ducked down just before Aaron fired. The bullet snapped a piece of the steering wheel off and went through the seat.

The mobster in the backseat was hit in the forehead with the powerful bullet. Aaron’s hands hit the top of the car due to the powerful kick fire. Emilio heard a loud pop follow the gun shot before sitting up. The windshield was knocked into the driver’s seat, the mobster in the back was missing the top of his skull, and blood along with other residue covered the entire inside of the car. Emilio ended up swerving to the right and getting the car stuck between the alleyways.

“FUCKING WEAK!” Emilio yelled after getting a glance at the car.

Eric pulled out of the alley and into a Y-shaped road. The dumpster being dragged by the car rolled out into the road where it was hit by a truck. Eric did a 180 after getting onto the next street.

“I love this gun! I’m going to be like Dirty Harry, so make my DAY—BITCHES!!!” Aaron exclaimed after his hands stopped throbbing.

“That was the shiz-nite!” Eric yelled before looking ahead.

An eighteen-wheeler was about hit the car, so Eric pulled out onto the sidewalk to avoid the wreck. Eric took a second to realize he was now driving against traffic on a one-way street. A cop car drove past them and turned on its lights. At that time, Miho was driving in between cars to avoid getting shot by the S-8 pursuing her. After making a left turn around the fountain, she looked to her left to see a mobster inside of a huge Diesel Truck. It was coming directly at her from the left, but she was able to get in front of it before it hit her. The S-8 Jaguar following Miho was whip-lashed by the Diesel truck when it pulled out. It rolled into a building before loosing its ignition.

The mobster inside of the truck had no mercy right now. Miho looked back and knew that she was going to have to lose this truck because Eric’s convertible didn’t stand much of a chance against that behemoth of a vehicle. The Diesel truck slammed into two little jeeps, thus trampling them. After getting over, the two jeeps exploded into a fireball that didn’t even seem to affect it. Miho kept her eyes ahead and saw a cluster of vehicles moving along. She was going to have a hard time getting through it, so she looked to her right to see three, huge car transports parked by a dealer ship.

It was a tall vehicle with two ramps for storing vehicles in long cross-country trips. A chain was supporting a small fold out ramp to get the cars up, so Miho fired at it. The folding ramp hit the ground so Miho could drive to the top of the transport. As she moved up it, the diesel truck began to pull through the traffic. Cars were getting knocked out of the truck’s path as it moved along. Miho moved across the transport to see the next in line.

She fired at the next ramp’s chain and caused it to slam down on the roof in front of her. It served as another way across the car transports. The diesel truck followed Miho even after she moved across the third car transport. The mobster looked up towards the top of the third transport to see where she was. Miho drove off the edge of the third transport and into open traffic. Her Kawasaki hit the ground and had a huge decrease in speed. The only way to keep it from flipping over was to hold the brakes and stopping the wheels. As soon as the tires touched the street, Miho cranked on the gas and began to speed up. The diesel truck ripped through the last car in it’s way before closing in on Miho’s bike.

It was just a couple feet away when Miho began to out run it. She saw a right turn up ahead, so she took it at the last second. The diesel truck took the swift turn and slid across the road. A school bus pulled out in its way, causing a collision. The mobster inside was thrown around in the seat after impact. Due to the collision, the motion needed to tip over the truck went into the school bus. It tipped over instead, but the truck was at dead stop now. Miho kept on driving down the road with nobody trailing her. Eric wasn’t fairing too well at the time. After getting further down, he already found himself going down the five-mile long one-way street.

“Keep it steady!” Aaron exclaimed while looking back.

“Shut up, I’m trying this as best as I can!” Eric continued.

Two cop cars were trailing them for a short while, but they eventually branched off due to the extreme conditions. Aaron looked to his right to see Emilio in his blood-covered vehicle driving along side them. The two were on twin bridges that lead across the harbor below. By now, Aaron could see how nigh their fates would be if they didn’t get away. Emilio had the advantage because he was moving with traffic rather than against it. Behind Eric’s convertible now were two Jaguar S-8s and three mad bikers. The biker cavalry in the pursuit was following Emilio on the one-way road.

“We’ve got six bikes, three cars, and no idea where Miho is.” Aaron added as he looked around.

“If I can find Miho, then we can go hide up in the mountains. They’ll never find us there.” Eric said before moving around a car.

“Don’t talk to me, focus on the road and head for the city intersection. Miho will wind up there soon.”

A fat cluster of bullets knocked the windshield behind them into the back seat. Aaron ducked down just as Eric did a 45-degree turn to the left. He knew just as well as Eric that survival would matter because they were the only people who knew of the Russian Mafia’s big plan. Eric was going at top speed now as cars flew past him. Aaron lifted his head up for a split second before getting back down. A biker fired a group of bullets that tore open the top of the seat. Aaron lifted up and fired a shot quickly that blasted out one of the S-8’s tires. It was able to keep steady from the missing tire. Emilio fired a few shots from his point of view, but the bullets only hit the guardrails.

Aaron sat in his seat because now they were reaching 80 MPH on the one-way street. Cars continued to fly at them, but it was enough to stop them. Eric looked over in the distance and saw the turn off to a not so busy street just a couple miles ahead. Aaron looked into the mirror on the side of the door to see a man on a bike in front of a car. A bullet hit the mirror, so it was a good cue to start shooting. Aaron turned around and aimed at the biker that just fired at them. He fired a shot that threw the gun back up against the roof of the car. The bullet hit the front axel of the motorcycle and caused it to fly into pieces. The biker felt himself being pushed forward by the improper balance. His bike’s front end slammed into the pavement, thus causing the back end to shoot up into the air. Both of the men were thrown across the pavement only to be mangled by the bumpy landing. The bike itself bounced across the road before being trampled by the car behind it. Both of the bars on the front end of the bike jammed into the gas tank of the car. Due to the high speed, gas leaked out onto a stream of sparks caused by all the friction. A fireball shot the car off the edge of the bridge and down to the harbor below. Three shots were left in the chamber of the revolver, so he was in luck.

The S-8 behind Eric got a boost in speed from switching gears, so now it was pulling in close. Eric looked to his left only to see that the last S-8 on his street was caught up. The driver rammed them once and ended up causing the whole car to shake. The two vehicles were getting close to the right side of the bridge at a slow pace. Aaron leaned to the right and fired a shot directly in front of Eric’s face. The driver of the S-8 emptied his lungs as soon as the bullet hit his chest. Blood flew all over the front seat and onto the windshield. The driver took a big turn to the left before getting hit by an oncoming vehicle. With the fast impact, the S-8 spun into the remaining bike, yet again causing a pile up. With all of the bikes and cars off their trail, the only one to be afraid of was Emilio along with his bikers. There were just two shots left in the revolver now, so Aaron took aim once more. His point of view was looking bad, so it was pointless trying to shoot.

“There’s the end of the road!” Eric exclaimed.

They neared the turnoff to a safer road. Eric used some of his drifting skills in order to drift his way over onto the safe road. They were back on the safe road once again with the odds tipping in their favor since they could get through traffic easily. Emilio got onto the safe road with his three bikers backing him up. At that very moment, Miho was on her way to the intersection with the diesel truck still trailing her. The driver of the truck was still hell bent on finishing her off once and for all. Eric was approaching an under pass up ahead to get to a good road out to home. The Russian Mafia couldn’t follow him there—but that wasn’t where they were planning on going, it was a couple miles ahead on the intersection. I just have to get rid of those mobsters…
