The Devil Lives Next Door

Sorting out my feelings like a load of dirty laundry / Separating the light from the dark / It’s the same sad story with the same predicted ending / And I don’t know where to start / But will you love me tomorrow / As much as I hate myself today?

It’s a constant uphill battle / Wondering what I’m fighting for / Though there’s an angel on my shoulder / The Devil lives next door / Going round and round in circles / I can’t take it anymore / Though there’s an angel on my shoulder / The Devil lives next door

Sorting out the pieces of a puzzle that was broken / They don’t seem to fit at all / I’m trying to see the colors of a world that’s so mistaken / But all I see are black and white / But will you love me tomorrow / As much as I hate myself today?

It’s a constant uphill battle / Wondering what I’m fighting for / Though there’s an angel on my shoulder / The Devil lives next door / Going round and round in circles / I can’t take it anymore / Though there’s an angel on my shoulder / The Devil lives next door

Because tomorrow never comes / But yesterday was never here / All I have is today / It’s all we have left to fear / If we just forget the world / Can we make it go away?

It’s a constant uphill battle / Wondering what I’m fighting for / Though there’s an angel on my shoulder / The Devil lives next door / Going round and round in circles / I can’t take it anymore / Though there’s an angel on my shoulder / The Devil lives next door
