I could say I’m never lonely

Because I always feel you here

But I remember once upon a time

I promised not to lie

And do you love me

As the last words fall

Do you love me still

As you said you would

That reassuring feeling’s risen

Risen and it’s gone

Reveries, contemplations

Bring me closer to tomorrow

But never bring me closer to where you are

Oh, it’s much to far

To ever hope for, hope to see

With a broken heart

Won’t you love me, oh

Have mercy oh,

Give me the proper dose tonight

It’s bitter but while you’re not here it’s

The only hope I have to make things right

And as the hours turn to shadows

I trace my finger through the sorrow

That lingers here

It’s my only companion and I

Can’t seem to give it up

There’s no moon tonight

And the street lights died

As you turned to walk away

The night air whispered in my

Ear a truth you’d

Never dare to say

And as the cold sets in I

Fail to move your

Silence holds me still

And as I watch

Your fading silhouette I call,

“For you I will,

end this tonight…”

Won’t you love me, oh

Have mercy oh,

Give me the proper dose tonight

It’s bitter but while you’re not here it’s

The only hope I have to make things right

And as the hours turn to shadows

I trace my finger through the sorrow

That lingers here

It’s my only companion and I

Can’t seem to give it up
