Uncomfortable

I don't know why, but for some reason I make men very uncomfortable. For example, last night I went out on a date with this very attractive man named Derek. He picked me up at my apartment, engaging in some conversation before he drove to the restaurant we had reservations at.

After settling in at our table, we continued the casual conversation we had started in the hallway in my apartment building, everything going smoothly until we got to the subject of family. He was the one to start talking about his family first, going on about how he was an only child raised by his mother and father who never fought.

He then asked me about my family and I had no hesitations about telling him the truth. Smiling softly at him, I went on about my divorced parents and then finally my daughter. It was not odd for a twenty two year old to have a daughter, but once I mentioned that she was seven and I was determined to find a father for her, Derek started to turn an odd color, quickly excusing himself almost as soon as I was done telling him about my little Lolita.

I haven't heard from Derek since and I honestly can't understand what it is I do that make men so damn uncomfortable.
