Up in the sky, from clouds of grey,
raindrops threaten the land,
the sun doesn't shine to-day.

Birds won't sing in merry bands,
while flowers refuse to bloom
raindrops threaten the land.

Quick approaching comes doom,
across the dying plains,
while flowers refuse to bloom.

The grass is dyed with blood-stains,
and bodies lie strewn about
across the dying plains.

There is no longer a safe route,
No path is still unmarked by blood,
and bodies lie strewn about.

Rain falls, wiping away the mud
Up in the sky, from clouds of grey,
No path is still unmarked by blood,
the sun doesn't shine to-day.
