Title: SpiritBreaker

Zeal was a normal boy who had everthing anyone could ever want, friends, power, wealth, and a family that was never there. What happend when he finds out he is an angel? or is he a demon?

A/n Well as of right now, I am going over and rewritting it some.

‘Storm clouds surround the castle, as Zeal Shadows walks in search of his treasure of the night. He knew where it was and how to get it but he did not know when he would be able to take it into his possession. He knew what it was and yet he didn’t know what it was for. The treasure of his life happened to search to him as much as he searches for it. He comes around a corner and sees his treasure and its protector, but to it, the protector was her prison guard. He stares at his treasure, his ex-girlfriend, the only thing that matters in the world to him. Well it was the only thing in the world until he knew what she did to him.

The stormy clouds let out their tears as well as their cries for vengeance and sorrow towards the castle that stands near the sea. Inside Zeal fights a creature that should not exist in this plain of existence. Zeal is thrown down by the creature of darkness, the beast howls evilly at Zeal's weakness. Zeal rises up as dust slowly falls off his armored body, with a silver glow in his eyes. He rushes towards the creature blazing with energy, much like a sword coming from his hand, at the beast. Zeal rushes in-between the beast and his ex-girlfriend, trying desperately to keep her protected.

"Give me the woman, Spiritbreaker!" the creature echoes out all over the castle walls. He looks hungrily at Zeal's ex-girlfriend, when the beast falls onto the castle floor, dead. Blood runs down Zeal's shoulder down to his bicep, he sacrificed his own arm for his ex-girlfriend. Then a portal of darkness opens up and the same creature appears, it grabs Zeal and rips off his arm.’

Zeal shoots up on his bed, running his hand over the arm that should be ripped off, then feeling his forehead, he finds cold sweat. "Why am I getting this weird dreams, now of all times? I wish I knew what they are telling me" Zeal sighs and gets up and goes downstairs to find a new email for him from his parents, saying they wont be home for another month.

"They are never home any more, dad is off with the business and mom is helping the church, what is next, Uncle Darwin is making cookies for my school..." He continues his daily route, getting ready for school, and getting his lazy sister out of bed. He slips on a black muscle shirt, and dark blue jeans, his socks, and his black Adios.

"Taylor Jaine Shadows get your little ass out of bed or I will dump a bucket of water on you!" Zeal threatens to his sister still in bed. She slowly gets out of her warm and comfortable bed, to a cold and dark room. Taylor looks around to see that Zeal had done her laundry for her.

"Damn older bro... he never knows when to leave me alone, and yet, that is why I love him." Taylor giggles to herself as she is dressing. Thinking of her boyfriend, she rushes downstairs to see a full breakfast on the table. She looks at Zeal with a 'why the fuck' look, he shrugs and drinks his Mountain Dew.

"Hurry up; we have to be at school in twenty minutes, so eat up. Oh, Brad called, he said that you should really fix your hair" Zeal laughs looking at his sister's hair.

"Ha, very funny" Taylor smiles and eats her breakfast, then rushes upstairs.

'What was that dream about anyways? I am not even dating her anymore, and I am dating someone else.' Zeal thinks to himself as he walks out to the garage and pulls his black Suzuki sports bike out of the garage. He looks over to see Taylor running over to him. She jumps on with Zeal and drive out of the drive way, and down the road.

'Man, Ryo is going to freak out when I tell him.' Zeal laughs to himself, and blasts off on his bike down the street towards the school.

"No" screams his best friend, Ryo Kedil, in front of Zeal's locker, as a blue aura surrounds him which has a hint of red, after Zeal got done telling Ryo that he has started to date Flay Jamta, who happens to be one of the most popular girls in the school.

“You can’t date her, Zeal!” Ryo blurts out “She is bad news man!”

“Dude, don’t say shit like that, got it!” Zeal yells back and throws orb of energy towards him, but purposely misses him, so as not to hurt Ryo. Of course makes Ryo shut up because Zeal isn’t the kind of guy to do that.

Learning from that, he explains, “I am just saying that you should be careful, I mean, you just got out of a relationship with Kadame. Well, I have been hearing…” Ryo stops suddenly and stares behind Zeal. Zeal turns around to see Flay and Kadame walking together over to him.

“Hey Zeal” Kadame says beautifully.

“Hi Zeal” Flay says and leans in and kisses him.

“Um hi?” Zeal says giving a question looks at the two girls in front of him, now whispering to each other. Watching the girls, he turns to see Ryo walking towards their first class, and waving him to come along.

“Zeal? We have a question for you” Kadame blushing as she speaks.

“Hmmm” Zeal looks their way, looking at both.

“Could we by chance...come over tonight?” Flay asks seducitively

“Umm... I don’t know, my parents are gone, I have to watch my little sis, and I have to practice for tomorrow’s sparing match.” Zeal lies to try and get out of having the two in his house, together.

“I think your sister is old enough to take care of herself, baby. Oh and by the way, the person you are facing is Ryo. You will win no matter what kind of training he does.” Flay says seductively.

“I don’t know though, I have a great deal of practicing to do…” Sighing in defeat “Sure, but you girls have to leave as soon as I start dinner for my sister and myself, alright?” Zeal sighs knowing that this could end up being a huge disaster. Zeal starts to walk to the boys’ locker room, in deep thought...

“Uhhh Zeal?” Kadame speaks up and rushing, with her pink hair waving, towards him.

“Huh, I am going to be late, so please make it quick, Kadam…” Zeal pleas, as he turns towards Kadame, yet is cut off by her kissing him passionately on the lips. Walking off with Flay who walks up and also kissing him. The two walk away both smiling seductively at him. Zeal breaking out of his trance to hear the period bell go off.

“Oh shit I am going to be late!” Zeal yells out rushing towards his first class. He walks into class and sees Ryo holding his seat from some new kid who thinks he is the best thing to come to this school.

"Hey punk, that is my friend's seat you better move, because he will kick your sorry ass." Zeal hears Ryo sounding off to the guy.

"Hey, it is his fault for being late, I feel sorry for the fucker having a friend like you." The new guy laughs. Ryo taking that as a threat, grabs the guy, and throws him into Zeal by accident. Zeal picks up the guy and flings him onto the floor.

"Hey new guy, this is my chair so back the fuck off, and leave my friend, Ryo, alone, or there will be hell to pay."

"Fuck you!" The new guy yells out before, Zeal rushes over and knees him in the stomach. Zeal walks over to his seat and sits down. Watching the new guy stumble to a sit next to a girl that Zeal didn't know but she was in his gym class, last period.

"Who is that asshole anyways?" The new guy asks some girl.

"That is Zeal Shadows; he is the best diver in his class. He is one of the best fighters for the fighting team. He isn't a bad guy; I think this is one of his bad days." The girl explains.

The new guy walks towards Zeal, everyone in the class just stares at him. They are all thinking that he is signing his death wish.

"Sorry about earlier, I didn't think it was you, because if I remember correctly you weren't as rough when you were at Kilta High, Zeal D. Shadows." the new guys states which amazes some people while others start to gossip about this new guy.

"So you transferred already, John Ditta, you really need to learn how to keep your voice down and also how to listen to others." Zeal laughs as he hits John in the stomach for making fun of him. As the teacher walks in, Zeal walks up to her and asks if he can go down to the office. She says yes and to take the pass.

'What is up with John...he never was this way back at Kilta.' Zeal thinks to himself as he walks into the office, greets the secretary, and walks into the principal's office.

"Mr. Shadows, glad to see you could come down and see me." the principal states and point to a chair in front of Zeal.

"What is this about anyways, you know I have class right now." Zeal blurts out not thinking, throwing his feet onto the desk, like a foot rest. The principal pushes them off and continues.

"Yes, Yes, I know but it is about your sister, she has skipped over three fourths of her usual classes. As has her boyfriend, Brad Hunter, I was wondering if by chance you have your parents contact number so I may discuss this with them." The principal explains, staring at Zeal.

"I can't help you there, according to my parents the contact numbers are for emergency only, and I don't see this as one. I am sorry sir, but I can't do that, but I can scare the boyfriend and talk to my sister." Zeal states without flinching in one breathe through that whole lie.

"Very well thank you, Mr. Shadows, you can go back to class." The principal sighs knowing that he won't get it from the other sibling.

-Last hour of school-

“Well Mr. Shadows, delighted to see you could join us, since you were in such a fast sprint to get here and yet be so late; you can help Miss Doman.” Says Mr. Hindo as he points over at the other end of the pool, towards Kadame.

“Ok…” Zeal sighs and walks over to Kadame, she sees him and smiles, opens her mouth to speak but is cut off by Mr. Hindo’s voice telling of the next exercise. Zeal looks over at John and sees Flay staring at the two of them. Flay waves to both of them as she continues her exercise with John.

“Zeal?” Kadame says softly almost as if she didn’t want him to hear.

“What is it?” Zeal replies as he is helping Kadame with her strokes.

“Well, I was wondering, why did you break up with me?”

“I don’t really know, but I know it was the right thing to do because we were moving way too fast. Well for me, it was going to fast.”

“I know that we were but I think I may still love you…” Kadame blushes as they hear Mr. Hindo blow the whistle for free time.

“Kadame…I…” Zeal starts when he is cut off by Flay calling his name. He ignored her and just sighed and walked to the diving board. The one place he finds his peace and freedom from everything, being up in the air able to just feel like you have no control and yet you have all the control in the world. No one to tell you what you should do, when in the end, only you can decide.

He walks up the short three stairs to the diving board. Searching his thoughts of the perfect dive that he believes that will free him from the reality of this world. He starts to drift in his mind, when he hears yells from other people. They are telling him different dives to do, he makes a list and crosses all those out and picks his best one. He takes his time getting his mind focus and set on this dive. He takes his four steps slowly and everyone is silent, not one word is spoken. Leaping up he takes off the board, in slow motion it seems he starts to kick up to the ceiling. Spinning in a reverse flip and a half, with a full twist, Zeal thinks knows he has never gotten this high before, he starts to twist. Whispers and gasps are heard as Zeal starts to twist from his spin.

“Oh my god, I did not know, he could do that dive…” Kadame whispers in complete awe and fascination.

“He is doing it” Flay whispers to herself as a true smile appears on her face.

Feeling the anxious air vanish around him, Zeal starts to relax knowing that he was doing the one dive that made his diving career possible. He finishes the flip and continues to twist, aiming head first, for the cold, blue water below. Straighten out, he slides calmly into the depths of the pool, and touches the bottom. Feeling tranquil he shoots himself up to the surface, where everyone is looking at him in total wonder. Then as soon as he notices it, everyone starts to applaud for him on completing that astonishing dive. Zeal then continues to dive with dives that are unreal to most of the people, that are apart of his gym class.

As everyone walks towards the locker rooms and congratulate Zeal on the dives, they all hear Mr. Hindo yelling out, “Your new groups are up, and so make sure you know which group you’re with!” Zeal looks at the sheet and it shows that he is stuck with Flay Jamta, Kadame Doman, and Rose Whiten.

“Great… I am stuck with all girls this year again; Mr. Hindo must have it out for me.” Zeal sighs. He starts to change, when Ryo walk up to him and tries to start a conversion about the groups. Zeal ignores him and trudges off towards his regular locker. Zeal got there and notices that Flay and Kadame aren’t in class.

“Wonderful, they are out looking for me.” He sighs as he pulls out his leather jacket and throws it on and rushes off to the student parking lot.

Getting out of class early was one good thing about having gym at the end of the day, and yet he hated it because he had to wait for Ryo.

‘Not today’ Zeal thought to himself as he walks over to his sports bike, putting on his black helmet, he looks towards the school to see two people walking towards him. He looks closer and sees it is Flay and Kadame.

“Don’t they ever quit?” Zeal asks himself as he starts up his bike and continues to talk to himself. “Guess not considering they are running” he laughs as he is about to take off when a car pulls up in front of him. Blocking his way was one thing but boxing him in so he can’t drive away from his problems was another.

“HEY IDIOT! Move that pile of shit out of my fucking way!!” Zeal screams at some random kid that didn’t know what he had done, he starts to feel his inner evil coming out, and without noticing it the kid was forced to the pavement by Zeal's powers.

“Zeal Dennis Shadows! Why the hell are you swearing and hurting that kid?” Kadame screams out.

“That is his middle name?” Flay asks in wonder.

‘I need to get out of here before they reach me, there is a way out.’ Zeal thinks of driving through two parked cars, just enough apart for him to drive through. Then his feels his jacket get pulled by Kadame and his helmet shield lifted up by Flay.

“Zeal! Why are you avoiding us you said we could come over tonight right?!” Kadame shouts out.

“Zeal, why didn’t you tell me that you dated Kadame?” Flay blurts out.

Seeing his chances of escape slipping he sighs in defeat and turns off his bike, and takes off his helmet.

“Yes and because I never thought she would follow me here. Also I was going to my house to watch my sister ok?” Zeal says in a calm matter even though he is really anxious to get home.

“We will be there in about fifteen minutes, ok hun?” Kadame asks as she kisses Zeal. Not knowing what was going on, could not react to what she was doing. Then Flay blows a kiss to him as the two walk over to Flay’s car.

'Why me? And what was that kiss all about, we aren’t even dating anymore. What has her like this? Although she was the one in my dream and not Flay. I wish I knew what my dreams meant.’ Zeal thinks as he drives to his house, while pulling up to his home he sees his sister, Taylor quickly trying to sneak into her friend’s car.

“Taylor Shadows!” Zeal screams out, she looks his way and reluctantly walks over to him.

“What?” Taylor asks with an innocent face.

“You know what, where do you think you are going?”

“I was going over to the party at First Avenue why?”

“Because both mom and dad are no where near here, which doesn’t mean you can just leave without telling me. I am responsible for you and that is final.”

“But Zeal, it is the biggest party ever and I really need to go, Brad is going to be there please”

“I guess you can, but only because both our parents are gone, and you must be home by midnight if you’re not. I will come and get you, and drag you home. Got it!” Zeal commands towards his sister as she gets into her friend’s car.

As Taylor and her friend drive to the party, Flay and Kadame pull up. Zeal walks inside of his dark house. Turns on the lights and walks to his room, he looks around and sees that his room needs cleaning and yet he is too tired to do it. Using his powers Zeal makes a bunch of clothing go to the laundry basket. He then shoots a discharge of energy by the side of his sword so that it soars into the air; Zeal jumps up and seizes it. Unsheathing it, he looks at the design vigilantly: the hilt was made from a mysterious substance but was light yet very durable; the blade is the form of a katana blade, while having the surface hone to perfection. Zeal sneaks out through his window to his backyard. While there he starts to train for his match with Ryo, he hears the voices of Flay and Kadame yelling out his name over and over again.

Before Zeal could run off towards his secret spot, Kadame appears in front of him.

“What, how… did you?” Zeal starts out then he remembers that Kadame comes from a mysterious family. He starts to think of how he doesn’t know that much about her.

“Where to you think you’re going?” Kadame asks seductively as she wraps her arms around Zeal’s neck.

“I…I was going… nowhere…” Zeal shudders as he notices Kadame leaning into him and keeping herself close, Zeal could feel her heart beat, which was quite rapidly.

“Zeal? I still love you, do you know that?” she says, Zeal being stunned couldn’t say anything. Then regaining his mind he thinks of what to say so that he doesn’t hurt anyone.

“Kadame…I know…and I do love you too but…” he starts but is cut off by hearing Flay’s voice come from the back door. Then a crash of thunder hits the cloudy skies, it starts to pour as if the heavens were crying for both of them. Looking towards Flay, he sees her crying, knowing what that meant Zeal runs over to her.

'HOW COULD YOU ZEAL!?' Flay’s inner demon has awaken within her.

“Flay it isn’t his fault!” Kadame yells but is thrown into a tree by a surge of energy from Flay’s body.

"FLAY!" Zeal screams, as he flies towards her with his dark aura surrounding him. Zeal flies towards her, trying to reach her, before she hurts anyone else or even herself.
