Like and angel
Abounding in golden fire
Surreal in a realist world
They sacrificed your wings
On the altar of imagination
All the better to fit you into
The straight jacket of their fears
Like the quintessence of dust you wait
More dead in life than in death
Ashes to ashes
Lust to dust
Author's Note: Another poem written in my English class for this short assignment thing sort of having to do with Hamlet. However, it is also the majority a original piece I wrote based on an occurrence I saw in someones Livejournal that made me want to write a story, which I will hopefully be doing for nanowrimo. Almost every line in this poem was inspired by something or other and if you really want the details...just ask. I hope you like this...although, it may definitely be up for rewriting...
