A friend

someone who knows the real you

the one you try to hide

they know when your sad

even when you smile

they are there when you need them

they don't fade easily

backstabbing isn't something they would do

or is it?

I've had friends

who came and went real quick

friends I thought were there forever

I spilled my life to some of them

I hear people whisper my name in the halls

all because of a friend?

the same friends who gave me the friendship braclets on my wrist?
