Alex: Me typing again. Why? Because Ryoma90 hasn’t had time to update. Oh, and Haley, stop being so picky. XP I just played on your goody-two-shoe attitude you have in school. So…nyeah…

Of course, there was a problem as to why they couldn’t meet at the Library. For one thing, Derek refused to leave the confinements of his backyard. Amanda was in jail, and those three who had gone to school had to help out with Poinsettia Sales that afternoon. Because selling flowers is boring, I shall conveniently skip over this part and present the group of three with their current dilemma.

“How are we going to all meet up?” Brad posed the question on everyone’s mind.

“We should go to Derek’s house,” Alex hung up her cell phone with a sigh and grumbled moodily. “Amanda’s not picking up at home or on her cell phone. Her parents must still be at work and her brother must be being a pain.”

Haley nodded. “But how are we going to get to Derek’s House? I don’t think that any of us are legal to drive, and my mom isn’t going to drive us over there at 9 at nine.”

The three sat pondering this situation until a light bulb went on above Brad’s head. “I can fly there. I can defy gravity and all,” he said, scratching behind his head.

“Well, what about us?” Haley placed her hands on her hips and stared at Brad with narrowed eyes.

Alex’s hand slowly rose, drawing all the attention to her. “I can draw a car.”

“Yeah, but whose going to drive it?” Haley asked curiously, though she was slightly annoyed of their current situation.

“I’ll draw some dude to drive it too,” Alex said. “A hobo! Oooh! With a clown for a conscience! And…and…and…a military driver’s license!”

And that’s how Haley and Alex ended up riding in a tank down Main Street towards Derek’s house with a clown, while Brad floated just above the clouds.

Cut to Brad flying-

Flying in a plane was fun. Flying using super powers you suddenly discovered in the middle of the night was even better. The wind tossed Brad’s hair as he focused on using his powers to keep himself just over the cloud cover. While winter was dawning on the Earth below, it was quite warm up above the clouds.

Flying beneath the cloud for a second, Brad checked on his friends riding in a tank. Yes, he couldn’t believe Alex drew a life sized TANK in a PARKING LOT full of BAND BOOSTERS. Good thing almost all the Band boosters were deaf thanks to loud noises from the band, and they didn’t notice as the hobo clown drove down the hill of their school and into the busy road.

Upon spotting the tank nearing Derek’s House, he lowered himself so that he perched on top of the barrel of the gun. He wobbled slightly before catching his balance…when the tank suddenly stopped and he was flung off into Derek’s front yard.

“SUCCESS!” Alex said as she popped out of the hatch of the tank and hopped over to the semi conscious Brad. Haley wobbled out after, holding her nose. Apparently being stuck in a tank with a hobo clown stunk.

The tank pulled away to wreck havoc in Indiana and the three were left standing in front of Derek’s house. Alex had never been there before, neither had Haley. But Brad had, and he calmly approached the door.

Now, Derek lived in his house with his parents, little brother, and grandparents. But his little brother, Tyler, had been sent to Military School when his parents caught him selling drugs to some local hooligans. His parents had gone on a ‘business trip’ to Hawaii, leaving Derek and his grand parents alone.

And luckily for our group of three, his grand parents had horrible head colds and had taken some Tylenol PM. And now they wouldn’t wake up if the worst marching band on the face of the Earth passed through their room. They discovered this must be the case when after the twentieth ring, no one opened the door.

“Maybe he’s not here?” Haley asked as she jabbed her finger on the door bell again.

“Help!”

“Maybe. Should we break in?”

“I hear someone! Get me down from here! Help!”

“YAY! I’LL DRAW A CROWBAR!”

“I HEARD ALEX! NOW GET ME DOWN!” screamed the voice that the group had just realized was there.

So that was how they found themselves standing in the backyard, facing a Derek caught in a tree with his white wings stuck between a few branches.

“So, he’s got wings,” Haley said as she looked up at Derek. “How’d you get up there?”

“Uhm, well…I wanted to try these things out,” One of his wings gave a pathetic flop. “But I got stuck when I crashed into a tree. So…would you be so kind as to let me down?”

Brad nodded and shut his eyes, concentrating hard on the tree branches that ensnarled Derek. Slowly, they moved away, and Haley grew her hair so that it caught Derek when he fell. Teamwork! Ahem. .. anyway.

Derek stretched his wings, the white appendages reaching high above his own head. After stretching his sore muscles and checking himself for bruises, he stared at his friends.

“So, you got powers too?” he asked as they all headed inside.

“Yeah. I’m not sure how either. Alex can draw things and then pull them out of things. And Haley can grow her hair, and I can defy all laws of physics.” Brad explained as the three sat across from each other at a table.

“What about Amanda?” Derek asked curiously as he sat sideways on his chair, his wings spread out behind him.

“We don’t know where she is, we haven’t been able to reach her,” Haley responded with a shrug.

“Let’s call again!” Alex cheered as she pulled out her cell phone, ignoring the phone on the middle of the table, and punched in the number. “Ooh! It’s ringing!”

“Hello?” a voice picked up.

“Yay! Voice! Hi, Mr. Roper, is Amanda home?” Alex asked curiously.

“No, I’m sorry, she’s in jail at the moment,” Mr. Roper replied.

“…Jail?” Alex’s eyes widened.

“Yes, Jail. The police came to fetch her this morning.”

“How come you haven’t bailed her out yet?”

“Whatever she is denying, she’ll have to admit to it some time or later. Leaving her in Jail for a couple of days should straighten her out.”

“Okay…well…Bye Mr. Roper.” And Alex hung up. She turned to her friends, who had only heard Alex’s part of the conversation. “Well…uh…funny thing. Amanda’s in Jail and she’s not breaking her out.”

That was how the three found themselves in front of the community Jail. Walking into the office, they arrived at the front desk and peeked over at the woman who was boredly playing solitare.

“Uhm…’scuse me,” Brad said as he tapped on the desk to get her attention. “Was an Amanda Roper brought here today?”

The woman popped her gum at him before she turned to her book. She flipped through the pages, her eyes still dull, until she reached Amanda’s name. “Roper, Amanda,” she said dully. “Checked in at 6:15 this morning. Her bail is $1,000 bucks.”

“Oh…thanks…” with that the group left and stood outside the doors to the prison.

“What are we going to do? Alex can’t just draw more money, it would look really suspicious,” Derek reason, who had decided to wear a ridiculous trench coach that made him look like he had a really bad humpback.

“We break Amanda out,” Alex suggested simply.

“Break her out? Alex, That’s illegal!” Haley said, shooting Alex a disapproving look. “We’ll wait a day or so, Alex will draw up some stuff, and then we’ll get her out of here.”

“But we need Amanda out today,” Brad said, as he crossed his arms over his chest. “Amanda is not the type to get arrested, so that means she has powers. We’re the only ones who probably believe her, and before she gets sent to an asylum, we need to get her out of there.”

“I’ll draw an invisibility cloak like the one from Harry Potter®, and we’ll sneak around, I’ll draw a hole, we find Amanda, we get out, I redraw the wall, and we all fly away.”

“Oh what?” Derek asked, feeling his stomach drop into his shoes.

“You,” Alex replied simply.

“Oh Joy,” Derek replied dryly.

So Alex drew up an invisibility cloak that could hide them all. Actually, it came out more as an invisibility quilt. Anyway, they snuck around the side, unseen by the guards above, and found a portion of the prison not being watching. Alex took out her trusty pencil and drew a large hole. They all fitted into the hole to find themselves standing in some big guy’s cell. The large guy was … currently painting his toes and paid no attention to the hole that suddenly appeared in his wall.

Quickly thinking, Brad took a picture the guy had nearby and hung it over the hole, before using his powers to push the bars aside so they could all step through, and then set them back into place.

“Alright,” Haley’s hair cut through the cloak easily, so that each person was left with their own portion. “We need to split up and find Amanda. And remember, don’t get caught!”

So the group split up. The first to find Amanda in the group of people was Brad, who again used his powers to search out the red haired female who was loudly insisting to a guard that she didn’t belong there.

“I swear! I didn’t do anything wrong!” Amanda insisted as Brad approached, unseen.

“That’s what they all say, darling,” The guard said before moving out.

“Amanda!” Brad hissed through the bars as the guard left earshot.

“Who?” Amanda peaked out the bars as Brad let the hood of his cloak slip over his head. “Brad?”

“Come on, we’re getting you out of here,” Brad said as the bars around him bent open and Amanda stepped out.

“How did you?” Amanda started, but Brad grabbed her wrist and proceeded to run to find the others.

“No time! We just got to get out of here,” Brad replied as they rushed down the darkening hall.

It was then when Brad ran into something. Hard. Brad recoiled holding his nose as he stared at the empty space before him. He pressed his hand, and instantly a pool of almost transparent ripples appeared underneath his hand.

‘A force field?’ he asked curiously as he turned around. Standing there was the guard whom Amanda had been talking to. ‘He made that?’

“Nice try, Kid,” he said as he took a step forward. “But you won’t be getting out. How about you give me the girl and I’ll let you and your little friends leave quietly.”

“How do you know about my friends?” Brad asked, taking a step back. Amanda was behind him, and pressed to the force field.

“Because, like you I know where anyone with supernatural powers is,” the guard, whose name shall now be Jack, said with a sneer.

Brad bristled as he clenched his teeth shut. The force field made it so that he could not warn his friends that there could possibly be others with their certain talents. This was so troublesome.

“Let us go,” Brad said as he glared at the man, his hands clenched into fists by his sides.

“That’d be against the law,” Jack took a step forward. “You’ll have to fight me if ya wanna get out of here alive, kid.”

With an angry roar, Brad leapt away from Amanda and charged at Jack, his hands clenched into fists. “MY NAME IS NOT KID!” he growled as he swung a punch at Jack’s head. The man easily dodged his attack.

Brad threw his fist at the man again, however the man jumped back. Jack’s eyes widened as he felt something hit his chest, and he skidded until his back met the barrier. He coughed up some blood, and a smirk formed on his face as he wiped it away with the back of his sleeve.

“So…” Jack said as he stood to face a panting Brad. “You’re stronger than I thought, Kid. But remember this, I’ve got more experience!”

Jack sprinted towards Brad, his palm facing him, and he thrust his arm in his general direction. Brad gasped as wisps of wind extended from his palm and slashed through him. It felt as though cold blades where running through his entire body. Small cuts appeared on his flesh as he was pushed backwards.

“Wind Sickles,” he said with a smirk. “You can only get that kind of power from experience.”

Brad slowly lifted himself to his feet, the arms and legs off his pants had been shredded as favorite shirt. He wiped some blood off his lip. Brad shut his eyes for a moment, focusing on evening his breathing.

He said nothing as he lurched towards Jack again. Jack was surprised at first, but his shock quickly turned to a sadistic satisfaction. He opened his arms out wide and laughed.

“Come at me, boy! What harm can you do?” He laughed.

“WIND SICKLES!” Brad replied with a shout as he thrust his open palm at Jack. Jack’s eyes widened as Brad’s blood mingled with the air, sending deadly wisps of bloody air at him. Jack gasped out as the attack simply didn’t dissipate when it hit his body. Instead they wrapped around his arms and legs, acting as chains almost.

“Damn,” Jack hissed, his eyes aglow with silent fury. “How did you?”

Brad couldn’t help but smirk and bask in his victory. But he wanted to know as well…how did he do that? He simply wanted to do an attack like Jack’s…but more powerful. He’d never expected his body to move on it’s own like it did. It felt for a brief moment that someone else had been controlling him…

The barrier fell, and Brad quickly headed to Amanda, pulled her off the floor, and the two headed out…only to crash into Derek.

“Woah, where did you come from?” Derek asked.

“Over there,” He pointed to the spot behind him. He was shocked that Jack was no longer there.

“Really?” Derek blinked curiously. “I was just looking there and didn’t see anything. Hey, why are you all beat up?”

“Never mind that. We need to find Haley and Alex and get out of here. There may be other people here who have powers,” Brad replied as he leaned on Amanda for support. He was suddenly rather tired.

“Well, Alex is terrorizing the guards and Haley is still looking for Amanda. I know where both of them are…so, lets get going,” Derek replied as the three rushed as fast as they could to find Haley.

Haley, they found was wondering around a restricted area of the prison. And Alex was terrorizing anything in her way.. The large men in their cells were freaking out as a ‘floating Alex head’ banged against their bars.

“Come on! Let’s get out of here!” Derek said as the three rushed to the cell they had drawn the hole in.

Once outside of the hole (Derek took the big guy out by accident when he stretched one of his wings), they hoisted Amanda onto Derek’s back and he flew them over the fence, not spotted by the guards.

“Now we just have to get out of here,” Haley muttered.

“I know!” Alex chirped happily as she blew a whistle. Suddenly a giant clown burst down the wall and let a hand fall down to them. “Kiki-chan lent me some of her G-Gundam® videos so before we left Derek’s house I drew….A HOBO ROBO CLOWN!!” she said, throwing her arms up happily.

Brad blinked before fell into silent chuckles. “Okay…Alex…what ever you say.”

Elsewhere –

“So, you failed?” the shadowed figure asked as Jack fell to his knees before him.

“The kid…he had some kind of copying power,” Jack panted. “He used my own attack against me.”

“This is not good,” the figure replied. “I want you to take your team…and annihilate them. They’ll mess up my plans.”

“Yes…of course,” With that Jack disappeared in a puff of smoke.

The figure turned to his window and sighed. “Soon…this entire planet will be under my control. And with all those powers who do not join me…shall die.”
