Smile

You ask me to smile; pleading and begging
You tell me to smile; demanding and commanding
You encourage me to smile all the time...

I refuse your pleads; frowning and glowering
I decline your demands; glaring and scowling
I do not smile at all...

Smile... ask, plead, beg
Smile... tell, demand, command
Smile... encourage.

No... frown, glower
No... glare, scowl
No... Never.

Ask me to smile
Plead with me to smile
Beg with me to smile
Tell me to smile
Demand me to smile
Command me to smile
Encourage me to smile...

Refusal
Frowning
Glowering
Decline
Glaring
Scowling
Weakening...

Look away
Think of another tactic
Miss the turn of lips
The hesitant smile given

You turned and missed
The one thing you
ask for,
plead for,
beg for,
demand for,
command for,
encourage for...

Smile...
You ask, plead and beg
You tell, demand and command
You encourage
You missed...

You missed the only
Smile I'll ever give you...

The end

(a/n: What do you think?)
