These tangled hands of summer,

They weave their twisted fate,

They'll never ever grow apart,

We'll never leave the gate.

We said all our sorries tomorrow,

We said our good-byes today,

And now I sit and cry alone,

'Cause I have nothing left to say.

Love is miraculous as the ocean,

As soothing as the sea,

And now I know the meaning of life,

Is the love of you and me.

So don't leave me all alone,

I'll never know the light,

I'll be stuck forever dreaming of you,

In the darkness of the night.
