Forbidden Fruit Two- The Angel of Death
Chapter Fourteen- …It’s over
(Night’s POV)
Hell hadn’t changed one bit. It was the same old dark, fiery, sinful place under the Earth and Lucifer was sat in his same old throne with a smug look on his face; Gabriel was laying on an altar next to the throne.
“Welcome back Night!” He greeted sarcastically. “What brings you all the way down here?”
“I want you to call off the attack and give me Gabriel.” I said in an even tone.
“Why should I?” He dared. I dropped Damian to the ground and lifted him up by his hair, putting the Arch Sword to his neck. “You wouldn’t dare…”
“He killed Sam…I will kill him if you don’t call off the attack and give me Gabriel.” He didn’t say anything for a moment, just stared at me so I pressed the blade to his son’s neck and blood began to trickle down it.
“Alright!” He conceded, closing his eyes for a moment. “My minions are returning as I speak, put my son down and I’ll give you that lump.” He gestured to the baby. I let go of Damian and cautiously made my way to the altar, he seemed happy to see me as I picked him up. I took a few steps away from Lucifer and snapped my fingers, I was back in Heaven in a flash and Lord of the Underworld had kept his word, the Demons were gone. I strolled into the golden building, which had seen better days, took the right by the stairs and walked all the way to the end of the corridor with a white door; I opened it and made my way to the middle of the room, sitting Gabriel down on the floor.
“I need to talk to you.” I called into the bright white room. “Now would be nice!”
“What is it you need, my child?” I deep voice echoed around me.
“I need you to make everything right.” I began. “I need you to turn the clocks back.”
“I can’t.”
“YES YOU CAN!” I screamed. “I know you can! I want to…I want to stop this from happening…it’s my fault it happened and I want to correct it.”
“You mean you want to save Sam.” He stated.
“Yes. You sent me down there to become a better Angel and I think I have, I would like this favour in return.”
He was quiet for a while before he finally spoke. “You will remember everything that has transpired in the past months, but he, and the other Angels will not, it may not turn out the way you want it to.”
“I’m willing to take that chance.”
“Very well, then it is done.”
“Stop!” I ordered and appeared in front of him, the moonlight from the window shining down on me perfectly. “You will stop this act of violence and leave him alone!”
“Eh? Wha’ the fuck are you?” His Father asked in a slightly slurred tone. I took a step closer to him, giving him my scariest glare.
“You will stop this…”
He noticed my wings and took a terrified step back, dropping the knife. “Wha’ are you?”
I ignored him and gently picked Sam up from the floor; he was half conscious and studied me curiously. “Night?” I smiled down at him and calmly strolled past his Father.
“You will not look for him, understand?” I warned and he nodded. I exited out of the front door and took off back home; Sam lost consciousness along the way. When I finally made it back I tucked him into my bed and lay next to him, falling asleep soon after.
“You don’t remember?” I tilted my head to the side. He sat up.
“I remember my dad…he was going to…then someone saved…THAT WAS YOU!?” He jumped to his feet.
“Yeah, but try not to let the whole building know, ok?”
“But…I don’t understand…” He sat on the bed next to me and I explained almost everything.
“So you hit Gabriel and God banished you to Earth until you learnt to behave?” He summarised. “Wow…but where are your wings?”
I let them appear and unfurl, his eyes grew wide and he began to stroke them. “No plucking…please.” I said and he nodded. “Jen also asked me for a favour yesterday.”
“In the park?”
“Yeah. She asked me to keep an eye on you, she doesn’t know I’m an Angel, and if I even though you old man was…y’know, then I’d let you move in with me.”
His hand shot back. “Wait…you’re going to let me move in?”
“Well there is another reason, and if you’re uncomfortable with it then I won’t act on it.” I explained and when he didn’t say anything I continued. “I…have feelings for you.” I thought love would be too strong of a word for now. “And I think I can make you happy.”
“You’re gay?”
I nodded.
“And you…like me?”
I nodded again and sat up. “We can go at your pace, I promise.” I slowly leaned in and gently pressed my lips to his, I had to be careful, as much as I wanted to ravish him there and then I didn’t want to scare him. He wrapped his arms around my neck and deepened the kiss, when we pulled apart I smiled, human or not he’s mine forever.
Thank you once more and i hope to hear from everyone again soon:)
