Markus Lives
Chapter 19
The hours feeling days, and days are weeks. No more dared to enter the Lone Wolf's room. All the men felt weak that gave up so easily. Micheal had fought and searched for months and months. At the same time, carry along on his back, the doubt and complaining man. No one aspected that what they searched for would be found. The guilt of the men was enough to inspire them to train and push themselves more than they are capable. Vee was impressed by their newly found enthusiasm.
SEED had no patience to see the new Lone Wolf. In their heads, a image of a silhouette standing on a mountian top. It is sunset and a cloudless evening. The winds blows the long coat and his long hair. They could feel his powerful spirit, his great strength, and his mind full of wisdom. His spirit's strength is strong, it touches all their hearts deeply. Seeing his sword Howler slowly and gently cut through the air. The sight of his blue swirling eyes sent chills down their spine. Its everything the Lone Wolf represents.
Only Taylor and Epolee entered Micheal's room. His love never left the room for a second, but the Black Stallion had frequent visits. Taylor was going through something, something strange. He was more aware of his surroundings. He had many strange dreams about his past and many that weren't his own. The strange thing, he knew exactly what they meant. Taylor was grown wise and felt more in peace with his self. Vee told him that it was because of the bond between him and Spirit. But Vee hadn't told Taylor that exactly, he felt the words inside Vee's mind. It is true.
Micheal twisted and turned almost each second. He'd make faces of anger or sadness. He was constantly in sweat. Epolee's towel was dripping with the Lone Wolf's sweat. Micheal shouted names, Markus, Blaze, and Sindo. Epolee was intrigued by these mysterious people. She felt some comfort that she might know who they are when Micheal finally awakes. It was already two days, and the Lone Wolf will rise from his sleep, knowing his past.
Vee and Rapheal weren't left with nothing to do. They found interest in the old Nagoki. Listening to them talk about the old world, when the Sinister Wolf rained supreme and the one power in the universe. They heard all about the wars between the Sinister Wolf with the Schlechters and the Arch-Wolves with the Shadows. Vee and Rapheal learnt a great deal about the many fierce warriors of the Sinister Wolf, Luster being one of them. That name was spoken among SEED, and they came to know Micheal more as Luster. It was his real name and that's what he is suppose be called.
Madushi entered the Virgo and found his way into Micheal's room. He announced that the Lone Wolf will awake any moment now. Vee and Rapheal urged and demanded that no one but Taylor, Epolee, and the Nagoki were allowed into the room. Taylor and Madushi stood over the bed while Epolee sat on the bed, holding Micheal's hand firmly. She watched hopefully that he awake. They watched for several minutes now. Hope was wearing thin.
Micheal slowly awoke. The heat of the blanket and the room annoyed him. His leg twitched and once more. His hand gripped tightly. He drew in a deep breathe. Eyes began to flutter as they opened. The sight of the ceiling of his room was very blurry. In his blurry sight, he saw three people. He spoke the words, "Sindo? Blaze? Cain?" He rubbed his eyes and blinked continuously. He took another look and saw Taylor, Epolee, and Madushi.
Madushi's eyes grew huge. Sindo was his loved one. Blaze was his son and Cain was Arian the Nagoki that fought on Heclus. He seen the confused faces that Epolee and Taylor had. What did this mean?
The Lone Wolf quickly arose from his bed and stepped to his feet. The Lone Wolf could now channel his unbelievable strength, feeling it flowing through his veins. He stared at his hands, they were trembling. Micheal had complete control over all of it. He knew everything. Sindo, his son Blaze, and his unborn daughter were killed. The Earth was destroyed. All the Presians, Schlechters and Sinister warriors alike were all killed. His widened at what he now knew.
His tension jumped when he felt an hand take hold of his hand. Micheal saw Sindo! He shut his eyes tight and fell to the corner. Opening his eyes, it was Epolee. She was worried about him. Micheal saw Blaze! He shut and opened his eyes again, and it was Taylor. His tension was let go and as he rose to his feet. Meeting the eyes of his loved ones.
He spent his day back with his men. He told them not to call him Micheal, but if they must. He would just be the Lone Wolf for now. Until he figured all this out. Everyone knew how he felt, he couldn't keep it hidden well. So The Lone Wolf trained his men vigorously. For the past days he worked them through the harsh climate of Imfini day and night. He didn't speak with anyone. Epolee was growing worried for him, feeling ignored but she understood why.
At night, he slept outside the Nagoki village and the Virgo. Memories of his son Blaze wracked him with guilt. The Lone Wolf cried over Sindo and his unborn daughter the Hybrids had killed. He was growing cold and distant with Taylor and Epolee. Everything he looked into their eyes, he say the Luster's family. He couldn't face them.
The Origin of the Sinister Wolf and it's home was destroyed by them. The Lone Wolf felt guilty that he couldn't save them. He knew he could. The Lone Wolf was a mess, completely crushed by sorrow and guilt. He was in despair.
Soon the life and world of Micheal, everything about him, The Lone Wolf forgot. He was haunted by the memories of the past. The cries of the billions of innocent and helpless people of Earth, All his brethens and family died. The Lone Wolf felt helpless. If his purpose was to bring peace, how can he when the evil is greater than him? He failed once to destroy the hybrids, so there was no chance to destroy Epith Kron. He has the strength of every single Presian that every existed, all but Vin Wolf. But where was Vin?
Micheal's body was at ease, but his mind was at war with past and present memories. He saw a lot of Furiax inside Dax. There was another Vee he knew on Koryus, the planet of the fierce monkeys. A new world and his past world. Is he Micheal or Luster? Which name will he use? Luster or Micheal? He tried not to show it, he kept it hidden from everyone. Who would he be?
Where ever the Lone Wolf trend tracks, a strong sensation of darkness sweep through his men that were behind him. No one liked what the Lone Wolf has become. He seemed soulless and a drifting away into despair. They missed the strong and hopeful Micheal that led them into Imfini to find the Nagoki. No one had the courage to approach him. He was far too menacing than he ever was. Now he is a demon.
A night like anyother, the Lone Wolf sat outside in the cold desert. The Lone Wolf stared into the emblem of wind that was scarred into his hand. Epolee sat beside him in the sand. He knew she was concerned. She felt his pain so strongly. Several minutes pass by, not a word was said between the couple. The Lone Wolf was fighting to keep the image of Epolee from changing into Sindo! But on the surface, Epolee saw a calm and heartless man. At that point, she took hold his hand and stared deeply into his eyes. Epolee thought if she could understand it, she may solve it.
"Don't tell me this the real Lone Wolf, cause if it is I don't like it," Her heart began to waver with her words lingering into the air. The Lone Wolf stared out into the sandy horizon, and then looked down. He couldn't lie, even now. "Your men will leave you soon... " Now she was trying to have say something back. An angry look came upon his face and he rose him. The Lone Wolf had everything that Micheal made, it was behind him.
His eyes found her own. "Let them go, I never asked for them anyway," His cold remark hurt Epolee severely. "I am man without purpose because when it came down, I lost it all. Nothing can erase that failure. I should of died that day on Heclus with everyone else." Epolee was in tears, she didn't want to hear what he was saying. He began walking into the desert alone. Epolee didn't follow him anymore.
Everyone was watching the Lone Wolf walk into the cold desert night alone. They hated who he was. Not liking the planet imfini one bit. But without him, who would lead and command SEED? No captain was like the Lone Wolf. It is for his immense power and strength. He couldn't die and was able to destroy many armies alone. They are cowards without the mighty Lone Wolf. He is like a protective blanket they wear when going into battle.Without him, they are only human and SEED isn't invincible. They will certainly perish when the Lone Wolf is gone.
Taylor among those that watched the Lone Wolf disappear into the desert. He felt all their thoughts, he made them into words. They all felt it was hard to let go of such a leader and commander. The Black Stallion didn't want to let go of him at all. He loved him like a father. The only thing that will ever stop Taylor from being with the Lone Wolf, is death of either the two. He understood the Lone Wolf desires time to himself to figure things out. So, Taylor would wait. He made everyone else wait for the Lone Wolf to return to his normal self and take lead once more. Vee and Rapheal hoped the boy wouldn't be wrong.
The night was cold. Sand blew on his cold face. One step at a time through the sandy floor, like walking through knee-high water. The Lone Wolf stared into the distance, feeling that it held answers. Where would he go? He will travel in any direction, but without a destination. He pushed through the sand and desert. He was searching for nothing, and its how he felt, like nothing. Staring into the distance once more, feeling he might wander this world forever.
The Lone Wolf wondered if Spirit would be able to help him, but he felt he didn't want to be helped or found. His eyes grew huge as he froze in place. Out of the sand arose a might warrior such as he. The metal of his suit looked to be melted together to be one piece. Those menacing eyes stared at the Lone Wolf. It was as though, looking at a mirror for him as he stared at this intruder. The man dusted himself off. His long black hair filled with many white strands. Who was this strange warrior?
"Hello brother, did you miss me?" The man's voice deep and heavy, sending chills down the Lone Wolf's spine. "What's wrong? Can't you recognize your own flesh and blood?" The man smiled. The Lone Wolf knew who he was right then. He is Markus, Luster's older brother.
"Your, your suppose to be dead!" He yelled out as he found his nerve. Markus laughed at him, because even he knew how Markus lives. What a question to ask. "But, where is Vin?" The Lone Wolf realized by Vin, for he was the Eight Shadow. The Shadow is more than capable of resurrecting fallen Presians.
With the sight of his brother. He wanted to be Luster, yet he couldn't. He knew his brother would demand to be who he always was. He always was Luster, more than he is Micheal. Micheal was a man that enjoyed the thrill of a good challenge and liked to toy with his victims. Luster is sworn to duty, his great power is merely a tool in which he uses to carry out his duty. But Luster is also loss as Micheal is only gain. He decided to take his old name, Luster.
"He's dead to us, Luster," Markus went on, circling around the Lone Wolf as he spoke. "He wasn't the Arch-Wolf everyone thought him to be. So, he wasn't immortal like the rest of us. The only power he had as a Shadow, is to bring back one. And I... was that one." Markus smiled once more. It was strange. Luster felt drawn to his brother, but Micheal forbid it. Markus saw the war his brother was having inside his mind. How he knew, brothers know and can see these things.
They returned to the Nagoki village. Its completely dark in the village. There they talked on and on what is going on and what they should do. But Luster wanting nothing to do with it. He turned his back on the only family he had. Markus didn't like this side of Luster.
"We must! They destroyed our home planet!" Markus went on. "Luster, they killed all our brethen, your son, your offspring, your loved one. They killed my son... We are all that's left to stop Epith Kron. They took everything from us!" Luster wasn't no hero, he wa a failure, he believed. Why did everyone look to him for help? He had none to offer. Luster couldn't even stop the Hybrids when he had the chance.
"How the hell do you aspect me to stop them this time?Huh!" Luster snaps. "What makes you think that I can stop them? I tried once already and failed! I should be died!" Markus laughed, Luster was surprised. Markus pulled out his sword and Howler came out. As they faced off, Micheal's ritual stayed with him as he draws a line in the sand with Howler before him. This is something the Lone Wolf enjoyed, only his brother would match him. He's the only one that ever could.
Markus's sword became engulfed in flames. The Nagoki always called Markus the Flame Wolf. Luster's eyes widened in suprise. The Nagoki's knew without Luster's wind, he's no match for Markus's flames. Also that Luster isn't used the type of fighting the Sinister Wolf used. But he'd find out soon.
Markus launched himself inches from the ground with such force. The Lone Wolf didn't know what to do. He was hit with the full force. Being shot like a metoerite into the hard sand, that was a steel wall in the speed he travelled. With Luster groaning from pain, Markus took hold of him and tossed into the clouds. Launching himself right behind him, he slowly caught up. Flying through the sky at such uncontrollable speeds. Markus again grabbed Luster, throwing him straight down.
Sand was blasted high into the air with Luster's impact! The whole planet was shaking from the blast. Markus gentle landed onto the ground, a smile on his face. The Lone Wolf laid in the crater motionless, he coughed and was alright. He could hear Luster's cries and groans, like he never felt pain before. Markus watched him roll in his hole, crying in pain. It was pathetic. Luster as Micheal, thought he was strong, but when he finds another like him. He realizes he's nothing compared to the league he's in.
"You've gotten weak, brother," Markus mocked. "But I'm here now, and you'll gain every bit of your power once more. I'll show what it means to be a true holy warrior of the Sinister Wolf, something you forgot." Markus stepped into the hole and took Luster by the neck, carrying him out of it. Luster is overwhelmed with pain. The Flame Wolf tosses Luster to ground, knowing that soon he'll recover.
Luster struggled to his feet, barely able to stand. The sand blow slowly across the two combatants. Markus staring at his foe with a sadistic smile. Luster was breathing heavily, on the verge of collapsing. He snapped! Luster's eyes swirled a crystal blue. Markus smiled as he felt the strong winds gather around his strong brother. He too powered up, intense flames blazed all around the Flame Wolf! Markus laughed sadistically.
The two combatants leaped into the high sky. Meeting each other, opening up with each a strike of their swords. The two great powers blasted away from. Markus seized the moment and launched himself back at his brother. His knee smashed into Luster's face. The Flame Wolf smiled, twisted and his leg wasa carried with the spin. Out through the sky, the Lone Wolf quickly recovered. Crashing to the ground! All the sand in a twenty meter radius was launched into the air from the impact. Markus landed down gently as Luster rose up and leered into his brother's eyes. Markus smiled.
"I guess... I spoke too soon, you do have some fight in you left," Markus feeling so proud of his little brother. "Now, release every last bit of your inner power! Its the only way you'll be able to defeat me." Markus spread out his hands. Flames grew from a single spark into an immense burning fire! His hands became two giant balls of fire. He slowly cupped his hands together and the flame grew larger.
Luster watched intrigued, a smile grew on his face. Markus was yelling grew louder and louder. He let go of the blast! The heat that the flame gave off, heated the sand into rock. Luster blowed wind through his mouth and the flame disappeared into nothing. Behind the flame came Markus's heel. The Lone Wolf easily caught it, the sand was blown away by the power of the attack. Instead of carrying on the advancement, he pushed his older brother back. Markus flipped and flipped, and landing down gently.
Markus was worried, he needs to finish this, or his brother will finish him. He infected himself with a virus, but the virus is spreading out of control. Luster step by step, slowly making his way to meet his older brother. Markus rises, this gambit will declare him the victor or loser. He cupped his hands together, flames blazed inside them! He screamed out as loud as he possible could. Blasting a great endless wave of flames. Luster stopped and held out his two arms to stop the blast.
The Lone Wolf is completely calm and cool under the line of fire. The flames hits like a bomb against Luster's powerful wind shield! His smile is taken away from the tremendous heat of the flames that surrounds him, only inches from his flesh. Luster's smile comes back as his energy grows, pushing the intense flames out of harms way. Markus uses more power! His muscles begin to become fatigued very quickly. Luster walks closer and closer towards his older brother, pushing the flames closer to Markus.
Markus desperate, he uses every fibre of energy he has, using it in the blast! The wave grew ten times its original size! Luster's eyes were huge as he braced for the impact. His back leg dug deep into the sand to braces. But it was no use. Luster was overwhelmed with power! Burning into a crisp, engulfed inside the heart of the flames, Luster had lost. Soon the flames blew into nothing. The older brother pervailed but under extreme circumstances. Markus struggled too stand, his arms hanging from exhaustion.
"I'm glad he doesn't know how to control his power, or I'd be the in his place," Markus said with a small chuckle, wiping the sweat off of his forehead. He falls flat on his back, relieved that he can rest now and grow even stronger. He could hear the sizzling from Luster's body. Markus had defeated him, maybe he'll be able to harness his immense power. But Markus knew, even simple training amongst brothers, for how long won't do much. Then he thought, may be together they can be a formidible opponent to the one Hybrid.
Once Markus was able to stand easily, and all his strength returned to him, ten fold. He rose up and carried his unconscious little brother back to the village of the Nagoki. Madushi laughed, a little fight amongst siblings. Markus hoped that might knock some sense into the stubborn Lone Wolf. He explained it was merely a fluke that he claimed victory. If Luster understood his immense strength and had total control. Markus would be in his little brother's place right now. It was like giving a baby a great toy, but he doesn't know how to use it to his advantage. Markus would make that baby, a man and he'll be useful.
Epolee came running, she took one glance at Luster and tears flowed down when she gazed at Markus. He explained, he is the only one that can make his little brother see and how to use his greatest power. And to make that Hybrid pay for his crimes that were a hundred years old. Even though, those crimes were still evident to the vengeful Flame Wolf. But he can't make a stand, no one could without the assistance of the Lone Wolf. He is the only one that could of ever stop the Hybrid Epith Kron.
"He'll be fine tomorrow," Markus tried to comfort the heartfelt woman. "Watch, all his wounds and burns won't be there to when he awake." Epolee didn't believe a word. In her world, stuff of that kind were impossible. But she doesn't quite understand the many advantages to being a Presian. Markus continued to try to explain to her the many properties to the Wolf Gene, she didn't listen. She so mistaken in her little box.
The next morning, Luster sat up quickly from his bed inside the Virgo. He looked around, he doesn't remember nothing but receiving a good beating from his older brother. He felt no bruises or cuts, it was as though he never was attacked. Luster felt different though. His eye sight was sharpened, he felt extremely quicker than he ever was. One thing above all else, he felt the wind all around him. Luster began playing with the wind. Making small twisters in his room, he could bend wind to his will. He couldn't believe it, and he wanted more of this power.
In other parts of the Virgo, a discussion of mutiny. Among them were Vee, Rapheal, and the Weapon. Falcon, Hawk, and Eagle remained loyal to their captain Luster. Taylor had no say in it. Falcon agrued, where would we go if a new leader was elected? Vee answered, to find Dax Bak. Someone that knows what it means to lead. Or Vee would assume command in the Lone Wolf's absence. He agrued he was incapable of leadership at this point and which started the mutiny. Luster's loyal followers would stay behind with their great captain Luster, Taylor would do the same. Epolee really had no chance.
"I warn you, if you cross the Lone Wolf and he'll have sweet bitter vengances," Falcon proclaimed, and everyone knew it to be true. Its only reason why no one dared to question the Lone Wolf. Fear of him and his power, what how'd he use it against them all. Falcon, Hawk, and Eagle weren't ruled by fear, but by respect of their captain. They knew him to be a great and courageous man.
"He never wanted this team or squad," Taylor said as he found Luster's thoughts. "He doesn't care what you do, you were the ones that voted him leader because you all thought he'd save you. You all thought he would keep you safe." It was the older members of SEED, the ones that fought the Licyian parasites with Dax Bak. They remembered how he saved Jack Talon and the Lone Wolf made the feel safe. But they also remembered what Dax said afterwards, and its exactly what Taylor is saying now.
Now everyone knew that the Lone Wolf resembled their bravery and courage. He made them feel bulletproof, which is the reason he's leader. They only forgot what the Lone Wolf means to them. But now he's neglected his duty to his men, his spirit is down and so did their own. They begin to feel helpless that they can't rely on theirselves, it was up to the leader to show them the way. How can he show them the way when he's too afraid of what comes ahead?
"So we all think the Lone Wolf is unfit to lead, but give him more time to find himself?" Vee asked, and everyone nodded. "So it is, he'll have more time to find himself so he may resume command. If not, we leave him here and who will stay with him. Dismissed," Taylor and the Luster's Birds were relieved that they may stay. In this, the Lone Wolf was defenseless in this. So his Birds and Talyor felt they had to defend him... when no one else will.
Epolee found her self in Luster's room, he could feel that she was in pain. She sat at the side of the bed, Luster moved to sit beside her. He held her gently. It’s the only comfort she has been given in many weeks. For moments they sat there holding each other.
"So this is the real you?" She said as she stared into the floor. Epolee didn't know if it was good thing, or bad thing. But she doesn't really know Luster that well, yet.
"But, you don't know me that well yet... " Luster whispered into her ear, gently breathing on her. His hand came up her shirt, rubbing her skin slightly and so light. Her body arches back as Luster puts his other hand on the other side of her body. He pulls her closer to him. Lips pressing together, their mouths open and tongues go inside. They both pull away, looking into each other's eyes, gazing at each other so passionately. Epolee finish as him, making love that night for the first time being together at last.
