False hope
It's what I'm given when I shyly stare
Into those deeply guarded eyes.
Hatred and sorrow,
Surprisingly born from love.
It's what eats me alive.
Upon the chance of
Being lost in your heart.
However odd it would seem.
Each pool of tears
Formed at the base of my soul.
Those tears expel a world.
In which we could be together.
Yes, those tears,
Every time they are tainted
By the ground at our feet.
