Life, Tell Me about It?
So we all know the cliché
Life’s short, live it to the fullest
Live like you don’t have another day
&appreciate, even the cruelest

But what really gets me angry,
are those juvenile teens
claiming that life sucks, as if they know
what life, to others may truly mean

They claim: Life’s too short!
Well how do you know, Miss Teen Beauty Queen?
Meet someone who has actually lived, and seen more
and turn off the propaganda, that pretty movie screen

You live life in a sheltered box,
Guarded by childish dreams
But its true, life is just a paradox
Filled with complex, empty schemes

Can you tell me, how it is
That more philosophy can be displayed
On your AIM profile that is filled
With quotes that are so clichéd?

You claim conformity is bad
But all you do is collate,
Because just saying that you won’t
Only makes you prone to assimilate

So why don’t you just stop TRYING
Stop trying so hard and be
The real person that you are
and stop wandering meaninglessly

Yes it’s true, life may be short
So then why don’t you quit complaining?
Go out there, do something with this short life of yours,
or more important things should you be campaigning?

But who am I, to dictate?
When myself, I am only a child
But, even if I may be surrounded by idioms, and parody
It appears that dreams run wild.
