This is all so surreal

My mind is a whirlwind

Can't tell if these things that I feel

Are even true

So I'll just keep pretending like everything's fine

Watch the clock ticking away my lifetime

The seconds, the minutes, the hours till I can be with you

'Cause there's nothing left to say

Till the dawning of the day

Where this twisted excuse for a life will let me on my way

And the thoughts, they flutter round my head

Like a swirl of autumn leaves in the wind

And they glow with a million different lights

Like the fairies that if you looked you could find at night

And the things that they tell me confuse me

'Cause they make me think things that I don't want to be

But to betray them would destroy me

Because this is who I am

Everything falls apart

Even a stone can break

Pick up the shards that were once my heart

No matter how fake

And if I just keep pretending like everything's fine

And watch the clock ticking away my lifetime

Then maybe this won't be too much for me to take

'Cause there's nothing left here for me

When this is all I'll ever be

And the thoughts and the words and the lies are all that I can see

And the thoughts, they flutter round my head

Like a swirl of autumn leaves in the wind

And they glow with a million different lights

Like the fairies that if you looked you could find at night

And the things that they tell me confuse me

'Cause they make me think things that I don't want to be

But to betray them would destroy me

Because this is who I am
