Liquid glass
sparkling
As it washes
Away the ages
Icy as the wings
Of a fallen angel
Asleep in the flowers
Her last breath rustling
The air, a child’s dream
Silver wishes blown away
Like a dandelion’s pride
One kiss is shattered
Broken glass
And a life
spinning
Out of control
A child’s face
Cold and dead
Oh what a world is this
That the young should die
And the old should live
A baby’s form
So still and frail
To be taken by liquid
Glass
(Author’s note: Go back and read the poem again. If should make more sense this time.)
