Prologue: Hate Is A Strong Word, But I Really, Really, Really Don't Like You.

Luke Jeremiah Camronson was gorgeous. His parents were great people. Hell, I had been friends with them since forever ago. Drucilla Cowall-Camronson and Jagger Camronson were my best friends.

And now... they were gone.

Riley Stover looked up at me from his perch in his wheelchair. He didn't need it, since it had been a good two years since the car accident that had taken Leigh's life, and mentally fucked Riley. But he still liked riding in it.

He looked beautiful, sitting there with Jeremiah on his lap. Riley's dark brown hair curled around his ears sweetly, and Jeremiah's did almost the same thing. It was like they were related.

Oh, but you could see Jag and Dru in the boy. Jeremiah had Jag's dirty blonde hair, but Dru's dark eyes. Hell, the kid even had Leigh's face structure. And looked absolutely darling in a suit.

I only wished that he didn't have to be where he was. I wished I could've turned back time to where jagger could know about the hemorhhage in his brain before it happened.

Before Drucilla would kill her own broken heart.

I wanted things to go back to the way they were in high school. Before Jag and Dru died. Before Leigh died. Before Hazel died.

Before I realized that I didn't really love Riley...

If you can't/couldn't tell, this story will be told entirely from Chris' POV. You'll get his side of the story as well as what's going to happen with Jeremiah, and what has happened since the end of Under The Summer Rain.

For those of you who DISLIKE Chris, you'll learn to actually like him, if not only feel sorry for him.

I read "The Catcher In The Rye" while handwriting this... so... yeah, that probably affected my writing a bit. It's a GREAT book, though. I reccomend it for everyone to read at least once in their life. :D
