Oh, how I long to return to the sea,

To feel the wind in my face.

The breeze fills the sails, the spray fills the air,

And the ship sets out on a race.

To sail all the seas, and see all the sights,

This is my only desire.

The pace will be fast, there’s much to be done,

My spirit will not ever tire.

And if, by chance, I need a quick rest,

I know the land won’t be far.

But wherever I go, and whatever I see,

No place will leave any scar.

For knowing my home, and know it I do,

No heart can ever be parted,

The salt, the spray, the fish and the sky,

The freedom this sea has imparted.
