Compact
By Raventonguethemalice
-Chapter 1-
He felt the weight of it crushing him. He heard a grinding sound,
accompanied by the turning of gears.
Wana play a game? The
voice had whispered from nowhere.
So cynical, he had thought. The
device was a large, compactor style, compressor. And it was crushing
his ribcage.
The metal ankle and wrist restraints
pained him, but not as much as the insanely slow moving compactor. He
felt a rib snap, felt the machine drop a few inches, then stop. He
felt blood filling him up from the inside, the machine lowered slowly
then stopped. He felt the crushing of intestines, the intense
pressure behind his eyeballs, and the faint pop of his lung
regurgitating from his mouth.
Meridian walked. Contemplating the world and its mysteries. Wondering how the great sons of Adam and Daughters of Eve could kill their own. In his line of work he had seen it all. But something this morning had caused him to question his faith in God. He had been thumbing through the morning paper when he came across the article.
It was about a man that was murdered, crushed in a… compactor, to the point where he was flat form the waist up, stopping at the neck, and his insides were on the floor around him. It made Meridian sick to his stomach.
“Mer!” Mark hollered out the backdoor of their small, two-person cottage.
“Yea babe?” Meridian yelled back.
“Breakfast in five, come eat some before you go to work”
Meridian smiled at his partner of four years. Not his partner like Detective Ashland at the precinct, but his lover, companion, and best friend. Even though Meridian was a very religious man, he accepted himself and felt that God accepted him, because deep down, no one was perfect. And Meridian saw this everyday when he went to work on a case.
When Meridian entered the small, two bedroom, one bathroom, white painted cottage, he was assaulted by the smells of a hearty breakfast. He followed his nose to the kitchen. Grinning at Mark slaving over a pancake grill, Meridian stood against the doorway and watched his lover.
Mark’s jet-black hair was tied into a springy ponytail, making it bounce when he walked around. He had nothing on but a pair of pajamas. His back was lean, bronze, and flexing as Mark flipped the pancakes onto a plate.
“Blueberries hun?” Mark asked, not turning around. Meridian laughed; he guessed Mark had “super vision” in the back of his head.
“Sure” Meridian answered, admiring Mark’s beauty. Meridian stepped forward and wrapped his arms around Mark’s waist.
Kissing the nape of Mark’s neck Meridian whispered,
“How about we eat
those in bed”
Mark giggled, turned his head, and kissed
Meridian on the cheek.
“Not now you have to go to work”
“Yea in thirty minutes, lets just go have some sex, that’s all I need to eat for work”
Mark laughed at Meridian’s innuendo. Mark playful patted Meridian’s crotch as he placed the food on the table.
They both sat and began to eat. Meridian inhaled his food, much to Mark’s enigmatic look. Mark knew what was on Meridian’s mind and ate just a little bit slower.
“Mark…” Meridian said, eyeing Mark’s fork, and the food going from the plate to Mark’s mouth.
“Yes?” Mark said, not looking at Meridian.
Meridian stood and walked behind Mark.
“I have twenty five minutes now, get up so I can make you scream” Meridian said, in a thick, lust laced, voice. Mark stood slowly, unable to hold back his passion now. Mark threw himself into Meridian, causing them to slam into a wall. Meridian lifted Mark up in the “princess” way, and carried him up the stairs.
“Take me…” was all Mark said, as Meridian closed the bedroom door with his foot.
After a wonderful romp with his lover, Detective Meridian Braun drove into the city, to the station. He was a detective of the NYPD, and proud of it. All the men in the precinct knew of Meridian and Mark, and they respected Meridian because of how faithful to God, his work, and his relationships he was.
“Morning Meridian” Detective Alex Seltro said, as Meridian entered the busy police department.
“Hey Alex, anything new about the ‘Compact Murders’, as they are being called in the paper” Alex looked at his nails for a moment, then looked at Meridian a little confused.
“The chief was saying he wanted to see you last night, but I know how much you enjoy your time at home” A sly smile crept on Alex’s lips. Meridian grinned and opened his mouth to reply, but was interrupted by the chief’s booming voice.
“Mornin Braun, lets talk”
