Action Figure’s Prose
by Indigo
Looking out at the world
Through painted eyes,
Waiting.
Waiting...
For what, you ask?
You mean for who.
For someone to claim me as her own.
Or perhaps waiting for myself.
When I am removed from this
Prison of plastic and cardboard,
Her thoughts shape me.
Will I be the ideal hero?
Will I drink tea out of pink cups?
Will I be a best friend?
Or a mysterious nemesis?
Do I become the greatest evil to ever exist?
Am I a mindless grunt, to be smashed countless times?
Or am I looked at twice and thrown under a bed?
The unwanted gift or the whim of a spoiled child.
It’s all up to her: My fate is in her hands.
But even any of these horrific fates
Would be far better than being frozen here,
Imprisoned. Anonymous. No one.
Forever.
This was a spur-of-the-moment type thing. I’m satisfied with it, and I hope you like it! Please review! Thanks!
