He Didn’t know I Loved Him
I stared at the empty frame,
I fingered the delicate wood,
Each heart rippling under my fingers,
Each heart ripped from my own.
I remember what picture was in here,
I remember who was in it.
That lonely character,
Who never knew how I felt.
The fag in his hand,
Sending swirling smoke,
To calm his frail feelings,
He never knew how I felt.
The smirk on his lips,
Telling us he didn’t care.
I know he did,
He never knew I was watching from afar.
The player outside,
Was the only way to cover up,
His broken heart,
He never knew I had realised.
The cuts on his arm,
Were dismissed by everyone,
Except me,
He didn’t know I cared.
The deeper they went,
The more I worried,
Then the day came
He didn’t know I wept.
The knife I found,
And the body it was next to,
He was gone,
He never knew I loved him.
