She was afraid.

Afraid of everything. Everything except bugs, and stupid things like that.

What she was afraid of though, was something different all together.

She was afraid of knowing.

Afraid of understanding things. Things that would change the way she thought about people, and life in general.

She was afraid of life.

She feared walking outside at the chance she’d be mugged.

She feared having to get a job because she didn’t like to be around other people.

She feared going to college because she was afraid how other people would react to her:

Would they play pranks on her?

Would they befriend her?

Would they harm her?

Would they teachers give her homework she could not handle?

Would she crack under the pressure of life and fall back on her parents?

She feared sickness.

She feared hospitals.

She feared doctors.

She feared needles.

She feared intimacy.

She feared life.

She feared God.

She went to church.

Week. After week.

She went to church.

Month. After month.

She went to church.

A year passed by.

She found God.

I don’t fear anymore. To live in fear, is to live life full of regret.

Don’t live in fear. Don’t live in regret.

Just… live.

Live your life…

…without regret.

Live.
