Mold

A pattern of rain drops on my heart/

They’re called tear drops/

Outside they pour like cats and dogs/

I think I might have a broken heart/

Tripped, I fell upon it/

It cut my hands all up/

Would you heal me by bandages/

And kiss me when your done/

Hugs and kisses for the okay/

Up I look/

Away into the blue/

The salt stinging my eyes/

Floating away/

Drowning down, I’m just fine/

Here in my suffocation/

I think I’m…drifting away/

Would you save me/

And give me CPR/

And kiss me when your done/

Hugs and kisses for the survivors/

Laughter rings around my fingers/

Hair threading through my ears/

Skin against skin to make fire/

Burning us both into a charred mess/

Screaming around this house/

Broken glass shards cutting my feet/

Would you pick the glass from my feet/

And make me better/

Because I don’t know if I want your help/

No more hugs and kisses for the hurt/

Bandaged heart on my sleeve/

For all to see what you’ve done to me/

Drowning away I’m falling down/

I’m shivering in the dark you cast over me/

Like a blanket I’m suffocating/

Dancing to your Tango/

Our bodies melt to one/

Stitching up the holes I’d molded in.
