Should I wish you were here?

That would condemn to a fate

far worse than this rugged apathy.

And I swear, it's not so bad

when the angels scream.

It's kind of nice to lie in hate.

But wait.

Watch me from up on high

as I go insane tonight.

I yearn for you,

Selfishly loving my chains.

And the touch that lingers,

Tired, etched on eerie fingers.

The warmth of silvered skin

fades,

Pale and worn

into the redundant moon mist.

I forget.

Tingling trails of bloodstained kisses

oh, I swear I'm not the devil.

Serenity smiles down on us

from utopia

to spite us, it's true.

And me?

Well, I am sorry.

Though not enough to release me from your decadent honeyed shackles

that keep me here,

Waiting.

In my heartless moon mist.
