“Puella Silvae” by Ben Rude
Chapter 3:
Alexius inquit, "Mi fili, cur illam Iuliam videre volebas?"
Benus, "In animo habeo invenire Iuliam, sed silvam amaverat..."
Alexius, "Tace!
Benus clamabat, "Quam neglegentes estis!"
In English: Alexius said, "My son, why were you wanting to see that 'Iulia'."
Benus, "I intend to find Iulia, but she had loved the forest..."
Alexius, "Be quiet! I heard something!" as he triedto seek what was making the sound. Suddenly a bear appeared out of the shadows! "Run! I will drive off the bear with my sword. Run out of the woods!"
Benus saw another bear, who was walking toward the way, to which Iulia had walked. "Father! Do not die! It is necessare to save Iulia!" he said as he was running toward the bear. In a short time Benus found the girl of the forest, whom he was wanting to see. Iulia was standing above the bear's body with a sword in her bands. Benus shouted, "How careless you are!"
Iuliam was smiling and said to him, "Surely boys fear everything?"
