Tomorrow’s Promise
If I promised you my tomorrow could I have yours in return?
Could I trade you my affection and love for all of yours I yearn?
If I said that I would wait for you, would you also wait for me?
Can this feeling in both of our hearts remain, or will it only flee?
The time flies by and seasons change, but lately it flies slow.
Tomorrow without you is a repetition, the same as every day I know.
Everything I see reminds me of your voice and the words I’ve heard you say.
I can barely wait to see your face, but I’ll have to till the day. . .
If I could have one wish, I’d wish it to be this.
I’d wish you’d wait out this eternity and be my real first kiss.
I wrote the first few lines of this one right before I went to sleep the other night, and finished it today. I highly doubt the person who's being talked about in this poem will read it, but I guess you know who you are if you do. My wish is to get my first kiss from someone who has promised it to me. Simple and clean.
