Ugly faces peer out of the shadows
Their red beady eyes
Boring into your very soul
The lonely boy walks past
Snubbing the ugly faces
When you’re strange, you can snub anybody
He walks on, his nose high in the air
“Why bother with strangers?”
Strangers gawk at the lonely boy
With his charm and dazzling smile
With his tough demeanor
His moonlit skin
His dark eyes
His outward beauty
But on the inside,
He is a corpse
Composed of dried veins
Connecting to a dried up heart
Which long ago stopped beating
He is looking for his queen
A beauty not yet found
Someone to love
Someone to care for
Someone to control
From a simple glance of his dark eyes
Someone to caress his moonlit skin
A beauty to satisfy his hunger,
His lust for blood
