Ch. 15 Angels & Demons

“Knock knock.” Ashes set down the Wii controller and gallantly strolled over to the door. Opening the oak wood she asked. “Hello?”

“Hi, I was wondering if Atrum was home.” The blue eyed girl said. Ashe thought a second and remembered. “Sorry, he is at the park.”

“Could I please wait for him, It’s important.” Her eyes were filled with threat. Ashes thought more. “I don’t know.” She turned her head in the opposite direction and yelled. “Dad!”

“Yes?” Ven shouted back to her.

“Could you come here?” Ashes said. “Someone’s here to see Atrum.”

Ven came walking from the kitchen holding a notebook, studying it intently. “Ashes, I’m busy. Atrum’s not here.” He said softly.

”Daddy, she says it’s urgent.” Ashes pleaded. Ven sighed. “Well, tell her to come in.”

“Yes Daddy.” Ashes turned back to the girl and Ven continued his studying. “Would you like to come in?” Ashes invited the girl in and they sat on the couch. A few strong silent minutes went by when Ashes spoke up. “So, may I ask you your name?”

“It is, Ventus.”

Ashes shifted a bit, not knowing what to say. “So, How do you know Atrum?”

“From school.”

“What, is so important that you need to tell him?”

“I need to tell him tha-” Ventus got cut off as Atrum walked through the door. Niceus with him, they were holding hands.

“Atrum!” Ashes said getting up. She walked over to him. “You have a guest.”

“Really?” Atrum said surprised. He looked over to Ventus. “Hey, you’re the girl from the court yard.”

Ventus stood up. “Yes, I am Ventus.”

Ashes was taken back by Atrum’s remark. “You don’t know her?”

“No, I met her like, once in the school courtyard.”

“If you wouldn’t mind, Atrum could I speak with you?”

“Sure but, what about?” He asked.

“It’s to help you with our new problem.” The way she used problem made Atrum shiver all over. He couldn’t help the feeling something horribly bad was around the corner. Niceus gave him a worried look and words pierced Atrum’s heart. ‘Will you be alright?’ Atrum gave Niceus a smile of sureness.

Ventus followed Atrum to his room. He sat on the bed and she paced the room thinking, finally finding how to say what was meant to be said. “Atrum, we have a new foe.”

“What do you mean we? Who is this foe?” Atrum asked.

“We as in the Golden Gods.” Shock washed over Atrum as she said the two words he had grown upon since he moved here.

“You’re a Golden God?”

Ventus stopped pacing and sat on the floor, Indian style. “I’ve told you before, you have cousins, I’m one of them. Your family is special, you and your sister binds us together. We are known as the Elemental Angels, the ones from Ven’s side of the family and the ones from your mothers are Elemental Demons. We are Main Gods, each of us have our own element. I for in fact, control the Wind Element. You control the Dark and Lumina controls the Light.”

“So we’re important to the Gods?”

“Of course, without us their cant be an earth to reign. We are the youngest Gods, once we came so did life and earth. The Gods all had a home of their own.”

“The Golden Empire.” Atrum said.

“No, they lived in the world called, Divania. Since we came they had people to rule.”

“I see but, who is this foe?”

“You’ve met her, Ellian Bullè, The Bullet Elementalist. She has come to destroy all of the Divine entities.”

Atrum stirred at the name and remembered the fight that had happened not more then an hour ago. “Why?”

Ventus sighed. “It seems, she thinks one of us had killed her parents when she was young. She wants to avenge their death.”

“Well how do we stop her?” He asked.

Ventus flicked back her hair. “That’s the easy part, what we really have to worry about is getting our cousins together.”

Atrum winced. “We have to get them together, even my sister?”

“Yes, without all our cousins, there’s no hope in defeating her and we cant take that risk. There’s to many new Deities that are soon to come, if she’s not stopped, she’ll kill them all.”

A slice went through Atrum’s heart. “That’s Horrible! We never did anything to her!”

“On the contrary, none of us had killed her parents though, they were banished from this realm. They were both masters in the elements. They were to strong and they learned our secrets of the Ancient Art. The other Gods new we were soon to be conceived so they had to stop them. So they banished them to the Damned Realm.”

Atrum laid back on his bed, with his arms behind his head. “I don’t understand, how could they have learned the secrets of the elements?”

“Apparently they broke into The golden Empire and found our soon to be studies.”

“I see, so they were banished and we’re all victims of their crime.”

Ventus sat next to Atrum. “We have to find them, without the rest of us, we’re all doomed.” A tear slid down her cheek. “I don’t want to die.”

Atrum sighed and closed his eyes. Help her Atrum, she speaks the truth.” That voice again, still drifted in his ears. He opened his eyes and the girl with the fiery blonde hair flashed in his sight, for a quick second. He leaped up ready to fight, then calmed down finding it was only a memory. “I know one of our cousins.”

Ashes, Atrum, Sairis and Ven all sat at the kitchen table, Ventus and Niceus, had just left them alone with many questions. Ashes sighed. “Now we have to look for the bad guys?”

“Apparently.” Atrum answered.

“A family reunion.” Ven said happily, his blue eyes sparkled in enlightenment.

Sairis leaned over to Ashes and whispered. “Your father is a maniac.” Ashes gave an un amused laugh. “Ill take you home now Sairis.” She said as she grabbed her keys. They wale ked out the door.

Ven still sitting in joy, Atrum walked up the stairs to his room. The voice rang in his ears, the voice of a woman. “My sweet Atrum, Loving Atrum.”

“Who are you?” Atrum asked, hoping for a response.

“Sweet Atrum, Loving Atrum”

“What do you want from me?”

“I’m sorry, I left you Atrum. It was to much pain.” The voice sad sadly.

Atrum opened his door and saw in his window seat a white cat with black blotches on its fur. He smiled. “What have we here?”

“Sweet Atrum.”

“What do you want from me?” Atrum said annoyed. A bright light flashed from the cat, its body shifted and turned. Growing human arms and legs, Long black hair and a slim body of a woman. In front of him the figure of a Woman stood in by his window seat.

“Sweet Atrum.” She slowly said.

“Who are you?” Atrum said in fright.

“What’s wrong, Atrum. Do you not remember your mothers own face?”

At this, Atrum fainted.
