It's winter now, the leaves have fallen,

Just a few remain, clinging stubborn.

A season passed, two, a dozen,

Life moving at new pace,

And still I never found the words.

I never found the words to say I love you.

But in winter it's true,

My heart grows colder.

It's winter now, the leaves have fallen

I remain the same, clinging stubborn.

You moved past, moving at a new pace,

And I never found the words.

I don't know how to change,

Not on my own, without you.

It's been said before, by me, by you,

My heart's born of stone, solid rock.

I need a new pace, but still I'm so stubborn.

Help me find the words to sing a new verse.

Help me find the words to say I love you.
