I see the tears falling from your eyes
And I wish I could make them go away
You look to me for help
The least I can do is bring back your smile
But I don't know what I can do or say
Because this world's got the best of me too
I could hug you tightly
And wish for the pain to go away
I could tell you that everything will be better
But I can't will myself to say it
Because I'm not as strong as I thought
I'm just as weak and scared as you
So, I'll just smile at you
And hope to get the same in return
Because, although I'm just a stupid kid
Who can't seem to fix anything,
My smile always seems to make the pain go away
