Return my heart unbroken

I love you
,
said the liar to the thief
Return my heart unbroken,
and I won’t press charges.
Return my heart unbroken
or give me yours instead

Never one to resist a bargin
The thief kept her heart
Gave her his damaged ware
An unfair deal,
the pain grew with every day
The liar nursing her only hope
Repairing a bloody mess

I hate you,
cried the liar to the thief
Here’s your pathetic love
Return my heart unbroken

Reluctant and tearful
The thief returned his beloved treasure
In exchange for a heart
That fell apart in his hands

I love you,
said the thief to the liar
To an empty room
