Now that I'm here

-

Glancing out the window,

the wind sweeps as the

bare trees sway, crumpled

dry leaves and dust.

-

Warm sweaters and coloured

scarves, quickened steps-

in the crowd, we're all still trying

to reach a destination unknown.

-

Here I am, eyes to a different

w o r l d with no borders.

Even in the lingering cold,

the simple winters day, smiles.

-

And while waiting, but

realizing that dreams don't

shatter,

they fade (ever so silently)...

-

Surpassing the loneliness,

in my heart I know, one day-

Find my way through it all,

to reach what was meant to be.

-

Now that I'm here,

I will continue on.
