Spirit of Song

Over the misty hills
From a place of quiet chime
Comes a sound that fills
And a quality of time

Over valley and mountain
Weavin’ ‘round river and moat
Through the callous din
Advances sweet spring note

Over crashing waves of seas
Amid a ruckus of bird
Emerges as song whose aim is to please
And forever will be heard

Call out to harmony
Give it your woe
For sweet malady
Shall be tossed to and fro

Call to the melody
Give it a spell
For life is parody
And all will soon be well

Call to the music of past and now
Give it a living dream
For it passes on the know how
Of reaping ripe the golden gleam
