chapter 5

the terror of angel

meanwhile while the others were looking for me i was being trained by these peaple who down right refused to give me their names a year after being in their custody they grabbed me tied me up in the middle of some kind of mystic circle and started speaking a language i knew to be shadow realm. suddenly a light of a purpleish black color whirled around me and another girl seemed to step out from my boddy suddenly if felt like the air in the dark area of the shadow realm had become poisonous. the girl took on my shape and looked at one of the men and adressed him directly.

" what is your request setheroff my master" she said in my voice except it sounded more depressed.

" go to the surface world and killthree peaple of my chooseing" the man said

" setheroff" i whispered a flash of reio went through my brain something clicked in my nerves and i started struggleing against the ropes that bound me but as i did so the ropes tightened i gasped for air forgeting the air was now unfit for breathing i choked and cough no one seemed to either notice or care the girl walked through a portal created by setheroff tears streamed down my face because i knew which three peaple he choose i quietly whispered a prayer than passed out.

on the surface world my look alike was walking down a street where my three best friends were sitting on a corner.

" hay guys look its kiara" riku said pointing to the approaching figure.

they all jumped up and ran to her she stopped unphased.

" you guys haven't changed a bit too bad you have to die now" she said chargeing at them hiei went down to duck the atack riku spotted a near by wall and beckoned the equaly stunned boys onto the top most part of it, they crouched watching her try to climb the wall

" i don't get it why doesn't she use her demon claws" hiei says confused

riku shrugged but reio didn't respond he was trying to concentrate on kiara, kiara eventualy gives up and looks up at them reio then notices that kiaras eyes were not her own kiaras eyes were normaly red with specks of black and purple and silver to represent her three family gifts. this girls eyes were a deep gold color reio pondered this for a moment then something distant almost forgotten came to the surface of his mind and his lips parted to say a single word

"Angel" was all he whispered the girl froze and threw herself into a fit

"how do you know that name that word is tabboo in any language" she demanded

" not in mine" reio said no longer using a language familar to riku or hiei. reio jumped down and the two exchanged dark tounges for what felt like to the impatient hiei like an eternity finaly the girl that resembled kiara in every way to the untrained eye spoke english again.

" reio your alive but how setheroff said you were" she started to say when reio interupted her

" and do tell my old friend when you started believing everything you're told exspecialy from scum of the earth like setheroff" reio said sarcasticly looking at her skepicly

" oh silly me how retarded of me to think even for a moment that setheroff would be honest" angel said blushing she proceeded to lift her head to reios eyes unable to hold back the thought she just moments ago was going to kill her best friend and didn't even stop to see who she was trying to destroy she burst into tears whispering sorrys to all three of them she got a hold of her self and pulled away from reio only for her eyes to blank as she fell to her knees.

" whats going on reio whats wrong with your friend angel are you ok girl are you hurt" hiei and riku symaltaniously said

" its kiara shes hurt she is fighting for control of my body shes afraid i'm going to hurt you three" angel said between flinches

" then tell her to stop simple as that" riku said.

" i fucking wish it was that damn easy but setheroff has blocked any contact i have with her" angel responded gasping as if strangled

" then i say we go to this shadow realm place and we test a therory i have a feeling that if we find this setheroff we will also find our own worst enemys as well" riku said triumphantly

" fine but we must hurry i feel the shadow realm taking what little she has left of her life" angel standing up.

" how do we know we can trust this girl" hiei said staring at her

" she is not lying i feel it too she is fading fast" reio says concerned. the other two boys cave in and reio opens a portal to the shadow realm. when they arrive they duck behind some rocks because setheroff yoko and zemnus are talking to kiara.

" struggle all you wish child the weaker you get the stronger angel becomes " zemus says stroking her chin she squerms trying to keep away from four heroes jump out ane a battle starts with riku fighting zemnus hiei fighting yoko and reio fighting setheroff with the help of angel two of them die fairly quickly but with setheroffs dying breath he poses one last curse

" you may think you've won you four but i will drag that girl to the grave with me" he whispers and clenches his fist the ropes around me tighten to full capasity then explode.

" noooooo kiara" all four of scream they run to my side angel checks my pulse to discover that it is nonexistant

" she will die within a few moments if i do now give her my strenth" angel reports

" but angel if you do that then it will be you who vanishes from this earth for good this time" reio says tears in his eyes

" it must be done sometimes peaple do stupid things to protect the ones precious to them" angel says charging all her energy into kiara. as she starts to vanish she takes reios hand

" promise me something my old friend you will give kiara the one gift that i was so often deprived, happiness" angels form then vanishes

" i promise angel, we all do " reio says looking at the sky as they exit the shadow realm. after that i returned with my friends to our normal life one week later a new nabor built a house on the lot on the other side of my house come to find out it was roberts family my first foster family i was promptly reunited with robert we hugged one another tightly vowing never to leave each other again i introduced him to reio and hiei seeing that he already knew riku. i was at peace i wanted nothing more now i no longer needed any gifts because if angel taught me anything in her sacrafice it was that the most precious gift of all was happiness and how could you not be happy with sooooo many friends and a brother who cared about yousooooooo much sadness had now officialy become literaly impossible.
